Any body seen this video or read the book? Is it depressing (I know he died from cancer) or more of a motivational piece? likey or no likey?

I read the book and it is both inspirational and sad. Probably sadder now that he has passed. I recommend the book, though. He lead an amazing life!

While Randy's story is sad (we all know the ending), how he chose to live his life is very, very inspirational. I highly recommend it! :thumbsup2

I am about 1/2 way through the book. I like it. He tells some good stories about his life.
I haven't seen the lecture but I would recommend the book.

I've read the book..got interested in it after I saw a 20/20 special on TV about him. I have to admit, since I read that book, I've tried to be more of a Tigger than an Eeyore. It doesn't always work, but I do try.

The book is very inspirational. I think my mom didn't want me to read it because 1) I'm only a teen and 2) I'd just finished chemo for cancer. I read it anyway and it is very inspiring. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex with you while reading. There were some funny parts in there (to me anyway) so it's not all doom and gloom.

His book was great. Very inspirational, but it is sad. I liked how he achieved so many of his dreams - very touching.

I made my DD promise me that she would read it.

agnes!

So moving, in fact, that I purchased two copies of the book and bought two copies of the DVD and packed them away for my children when they get older. I think it should be in everyone's home library - long live his legacy.

I loved the lecture and I was so happy to see the book. I think his message isn't about his death but how he lived his life. Very inspirational, I would recommend it to everyone!

It was done as a message to leave his children -- very inspirational. The only depressing part is knowing that he did lose his battle. But he sure knew how to live!

I read the book, then saw the video. One of the most inspirational speakers I have ever heard. It was also very sad. This goes into my list of "movies/books I have seen/read, but don't need to visit again. Glad I saw/read it, don't want to do it again. "Marley and Me" and "Sophie's Choice" also go into that category.
