Hm. Reading the thread about letting 17YO BF & GF go away for the weekend by themselves on the CB.

Uhm. My opinion: No way in heck that my 17YO would ever be going out alone with their GF/BF. My house, my rules.

My parents opinion: No way would I be allowed to do it either.
My opinion if it were me: I'd never suggest it. There is no way I'd go with my BF away for a weekend by ourselves. Maybe shopping for a day, but not a weekend, alone.

I saw that thread
My parents would never allow that, and I'd never do it.

I'm so happy that the random threads are still being named after harry potter.
Like I'm really, really happy about that.

I think it's rather funny how most of my decisions are based on a parents point of view. Before I do something I think "what would I want if I had a child my age" and that usually solves the problem or helps me decide. That's probably why I'm such a good kid. lol.

My mom told me this evening that I have to be more agressive and start doing what I want instead of what other people want. It made me feel good to know that I am a genuinely nice person and that my mom does think that I do too much for others and not enough for myself. I'm always afraid of hurting peoples feelings instead of caring for what I want and instead do what I think the other person wants.

i have an idea for the name after we run out of books

You seem to have positive qualities, but remember its OK to be selfish sometimes

I wouldn't let my son/daughter do it either. Not at 17 and not at 18 or 19 if they are still living at home.

I need help deciding what to watch.

Back to The Future or The Princess Bride? Or should I watch a Disney film?

The Princess Bride for sure

Why, thank you! :goodvibes

Eh, I have a bad time with being guilty about things.
What's funny is my mom said she used to be just like me, and I can't imagine that at all. She's a rock and if she doesn't absolutely want to do something, she won't do it, even if someone asks her.

I tend to forget that I'm living my life, and it's for me, not anybody else. I enjoy volunteering and doing things I like, but there are family and school situations that I feel I'm pressured into. (lol, that might sound bad. I just mean things that I can but don't want to deal with.)

Princess Bride it is!
