The thing I would add, all safety and prohibition concerns aside, is that there are a very limited number of outlets in the staterooms. If you are like a lot of us your phones, cameras, etc will be charging at night and you may find there's simply not enough outlets remaining to plug in your diffuser.

This will be our first Disney cruise in November, how do I get the tickets for the meet and greet?
During the online checkin/excursion booking time, one of the options on the excursion section is "Onboard Fun". Click there. If there is still availability, the Meet & Greets/Princess Gathering/Character Breakfast will be there.

They've added more outlets to the rooms, during the dry docks. Talking about US outlets - there are now 2 outlets on the desk, one on one side of the bed, and two on the other side of the bed, at least one behind the TV.

When we did the Frozen meet and greet, it took place in one of the restaurants and they took the tickets at the entrance

Is the Princess Meet and Greet also in a restaurant? My last cruise it was done in the main lobby. I was hoping this would be the same because I was only able to get my Dad a ticket at a specific time (LOL) and I wanted to take the picture for him.

Yeah, well the room hosts typically won't say anything. They don't want to make your cruise less magical. And jeopardize their tip.

Makes sense. Probably don't need to take the chance of that cleaning bill just for some smell goods.

Princess Meet and Greets have always been in the atrium on any cruise I've been on. Frozen has been in the restaurant. I'm not sure why it's different?

i am on the merritime dec 4, i am sailing concierge and booked tickets already for A&E, i don't know if everyone can book once their "window" opens
Yes, Princess Gathering, Frozen Meet & Greet, and Character Breakfast (on those cruises that have them) are now available to book online when excursion booking window opens for all guests.

Essential oils can be just as offensive as perfume to those who are sensitive to odors. I've been sensitive to the smell of perfume since I was little, though fortunately not allergic, and I find oils to actually be more offensive. If I entered a cabin where someone had used a diffuser for the last week it would be really hard for me to be in that space due to the odor and would effect my cruise. I realize that the general consensus seems to be that it's a no-go anyway due to DCL restrictions, but I just wanted to make you aware of the effect the oils have on other people. I've had consultants at a Young Living booth tell me that the oils shouldn't have that effect on me because they're natural and not synthetic (like perfume) but they do.

I have been lurking for months and have gotten so much information that I feel really prepared for our trip. We are on the Dream in November for a Merrytime Cruise. My travel party consists of my husband and two sons (ages 16 & 2), my parents and my aunt and uncle. My husband and I last cruised the Wonder in 2003, so this is WAY overdue! Also, a lot has changed since then so I do have a couple random questions.
1. I'm considering the Frozen meet and greet because my 2 year old LOVES Olaf. Is he always there? Also, will I need to get tickets for all 8 of us? I know the grandparents will want to see him and his excitement. Didn't know if they could just watch without needing a ticket.
2. My family uses essential oils and we diffuse them nightly. Will I be allowed to bring a small diffuser, that uses a USB plug, to use in our room? Odd question, but can't go without them!!
I'm sure I will think of other things before we go. Thanks for all the great information on this board.

You can use the wood diffuser method :)
Just put it in a container that won't spill the mixture but still allow the wood to soak up the oils and diffuse. Only thing I can think of is the little cup things they put on flowers to keep them alive while traveling.
OR put it in a place where it will not spill. While essential oil may diffuse in the air, the carpet ant so forgiving (and neither is Disney).
