Random advice for future visitors....... :)

My one bit of advice?

Tolerance. Let the minor irritations slide off you like water off a duck. Accept that everyone will not look or act or dress or operate like you. Accept that there are thousands of different ways to see the world and while you might have found the most efficient way to see the world. I might choose a more relaxed pace over efficiency.

:thumbsup2Couldn't agree with you more :thumbsup2...things only bother you if you allow them to. :goodvibes

I'll never forget my daughters' shock on our first trip to WDW when this very overweight woman wore just a thong as her bottom at Blizzard Beach. I don't think I've ever seen my kids speechless before!

:scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: OMG I almost wish we'd seen that! It would be one of those memories that the kids would have talked about forever!

I must travel through the World in a bubble either that or just don't let things get to me...much. :flower3:

I agree, tolerance and kindness is very much needed. Its hot at WDW, most of the year. Weather, hunger and the fact you spent a lot of money to go to WDW, doesn't mean you have to be rude. We all are dealing with the weather, we all saved to be able to go and we all get hungry. I wish people when they got grumpy they take a break, find some AC, food if needed and sit a bit. If everyone did this and was nicer to others in the parks, everyone would have a better visit.

I HAVE a digital camera but believe me, it's not because of the ONE person steps in front of your camera... I don't want to have to sit there for 10 minutes to get one picture, especially when I'm not in the middle of the walkway, but off to the side. Also, when I'm taking a picture of someone, who is obviously posing for a picture, please don't shove your child in the picture too. I waited my turn, you can wait yours... plus I'm not a creeper, I don't need pictures of children on my camera.

I totally agree with the tolerance thing though. Usually I get frustrated in my head for 5 seconds so it doesn't bottle up, then I let it go so I don't act on impatience or let it ruin my or anybody else's vacation.

I agree with all if not most of what you had to say, but i do need to add on to two of them.

2. ECV's are not race cars - We are all in a hurry, but running into people and trying to zig zag people just isnt a good idea. One of these days, somebody is going to end up really hurt due to an ECV / walker accident. People with double strollers are almost as bad.

My addition is also if you see a scooter or a stroller/double stroller, please do not use that as an excuse to cut in front of them and or stop short in from of them. It's harder to maneuver in crowds with big strollers and people give you no chances to get by. I find sometimes a little aggressive driving is necessary

6. Speaking of pairs...yes you have a nice 'chest', however this is Disney World --- As a guy I will say you have a nice set and I fully enjoy looking at them. However, with all the kids around, do you think that is REALLY the most appropriate shirt to wear to the parks. At a pool, perhaps...but walking through the park the twins shouldnt be popping out.

Speaking of pairs, if you are a man and have a pair larger than an A cup, maybe you shouldn't go shirtless. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. So if i have to cover mine up, so should you!

Personally i couldn't care less if i see "a pair", whether it's a girls or guys, but i think if you are going to point out the girls covering theirs up, you should feel the same way about men.

I hope you are ready to get flamed for this comment. Some here on the Dis think the female body is a beautiful thing that should be shown off as much as possible, even in front of your young kids.

About the only thing worse you could mention would be breast feeding, that really gets the blood boiling.

I must be very self absorbed, but I never notice stuff like this. I have walked into people who stopped to look at a map in the middle of a walkway before, but they were very apologetic, nobody got hurt and we ended up having a good laugh together as they made fun of their lack of sense of direction. Now it could have been different, I accept that, but it wasn't so I got lucky I guess. :goodvibes

I do have to add though, I really enjoyed the OP's post and had a good chuckle. We all know it's true and all of us are guilty of at least one or two of those points at some time or another. It is really funny when you look at it as a list like that though :)

Don't expect a seat on a standing room only bus. :goodvibes

This is GREAT! :rotfl2:

I would have to add one other thing that bugs me.

8. Just because you have kids and we don't doesnt mean you should get to jump infront of us. We have paid and waited just like everyone else to enjoy our vacation...

I have had this happen to my wife and I many times. Its like some parents think Disney is just for kids. I have heard some make comments about all the adults in line should let kids go first....

OH, Vaughn.....you went there, huh? I hope you don't get flamed!!! While that's uncomfortable for me (a woman) to see, I just look away, but some are going to be raving that "it's the most natural thing in the world....."

Good luck! :rotfl:

Notice I didn't say what side of the breast feeding debate I am on. :thumbsup2

I know better.

Now again, I haven't really had problems with this, but a good point to remember is that kids who learn to wait their turn as kids, grow up to be adults who know to wait their turn. My 8 year old is "in training" but she understands waiting her turn. :)

I would just like to remind everyone that we ALL paid to come to WDW and you don't get preferential treatment because of the amount of money you paid to be there!

Most things roll off my back but some people forget that they aren't the only ones on vacation!

This is too funny!! :lmao::rotfl: and also very true. #1 is a pet peeve of mine. People in DW often seem completely unaware of their surroundings and will just randomly stop in the middle of a crowd, map or no map. :sad2:

I would like to add the following tip, even though you'd think this was a given:

If another person speaks a different language than you do, this does not make them stupid, or in any way less a person than you are. It just means theyb were raised in a different environment than you were. A trip to Disney might be a good time to teach your kids to respect the differences in people, not take them to mean you are superior to them.

Well said!! :thumbsup2

I would add, do not complain while in line about someone who just went to the front. You had a chance to stop him. If you did not, do not bother the rest of the line about how rude some people are. Bothering someone for 30 min is rude as well.

on a slightly different topic.....

While in line for the safari last Thursday morning, the "dad" must have gone off to get FP's for another ride while mom and the kids got in that line. About 2/3 of the way through the line, the mom starts talking to dad on the cell phone telling him that he needs to meet up with them in line and that NOBODY is going to care if he has to cut through them to catch up with his family.

Dad wasnt having any of it and then after she hangs up the phone, mom starts blasting dad to the kid that she cant believe that he wont cut in front of all the people to meet up with them.

Thought that it was a nice change since so many people dont seem to have trouble in cutting through a line to meet up their party for one reason or another.

Sorry but as a 34 DD female, I keep my "girls" properly secured in Disney. At a bar they work to my advantage, around children that is just wrong. In the US, showing your breasts is a sex thing and not designed to be natural in the "it just a human body type way" but rather a "come get me (non-child friendly way)". As for breastfeeding I am a huge fan as the breast are being used for a natural thing. But I am sorry, if you find breast feeding sexy, I think you are a little disturbing! lol

Thank you! My husband and I go alone all the time and we wait in line to see the characters just like everybody else!
