Just back from the world last week and thought I would share some random thoughts and advice for others....

1. Stopping in the middle of a mob to read a map is a GREAT idea---really, the 1000s of us in the mob going to TS Mania at opening really want to run into you when you decide (for reasons known only to you) that you need to stop and look at the map in the middle of that mess.

2. ECV's are not race cars - We are all in a hurry, but running into people and trying to zig zag people just isnt a good idea. One of these days, somebody is going to end up really hurt due to an ECV / walker accident. People with double strollers are almost as bad.

3. Wait times are really just a # on a sign -- We rode a # of rides where the wait times were either double or half of what they were listed as. I appreciate the concept of having them posted (if I dont have a fast pass) but most of times were 10-15 mins off..either better or worse.

4. Please find a seat prior to the start of the parade -- yes, the guide says that it starts at 9...however, that doesnt mean you can show up at 8:55 and expect a front row seat and then complain in a load voice that it just isnt right that you cant find a front row seat to watch a parade that starts in 5 minutes.

5. Single file or pairs work best - yes you have a cute family and it really is adorbale how you all like to walk hand in hand down the sidewalk in front of the stores on mainstreet (and other places), but when you are a family of 4 or 5 doing that it makes it REALLY hard for others to walk around you and get to where we are trying to go.

6. Speaking of pairs...yes you have a nice 'chest', however this is Disney World --- As a guy I will say you have a nice set and I fully enjoy looking at them. However, with all the kids around, do you think that is REALLY the most appropriate shirt to wear to the parks. At a pool, perhaps...but walking through the park the twins shouldnt be popping out.

7. You can delete a digital picture -- From time to time (sometimes even my family) people will occassionaly step into someone else's picutre while walking. While we might have tried to avoid it, we cant just necessarily come to a complete stop (see #1 above) in all cases. If the pic doesnt come out, you can just hit the delete button and try again. Your loud obnoxious comment about having to "TAKE IT AGAIN SINCE SOMEONE STEPPED INTO MY PICTURE!!" really wasnt need.

I think that is all for now, if people have other helpful suggestions please feel free to list them! :)

I did want to add that despite the comments above, we did have a great week except for the crazy heat / humidity that was overtaking central Florida.

Loved everything you said and have said it myself many times.

#6 really made me laugh...just wanted to add that keeping the twins contained at the pool and the waterparks is essential as well.

here's a question/observation I have....why videotape all of the parades, shows, etc??? No one wants to see a shaky out of focus video like that!

:lmao:

I totally agree with everything you said!!! Which can be summed up briefly as : "Calm down the "twins" and keep out of my way" lolololol, LOVE IT!!!;)

Sorry, Betty & Boop need to breathe too. :goodvibes Although the, "Well I never!" stares (which always seem to come from other women) are always funny. ;)

My mom and stepdad took me to Disney every year from about 1984-1997. And every year, they videotaped every parade and show. And that was with a gigantic video camera, not the nice small ones they have now. Do you know how many times we watch those videos??? Zero!!! And I'm a Disney fanatic, but even I don't want to sit and watch them. :rotfl2:

Oh my gosh! It sounds like our house. DH being our "videographer" (and I use that term loosely but lovingly. ;) .) We NEVER look at old tapes.

I always say that is how we are going to spend our old age - reliving our children growing up and old vacations. :)

1) Stopping is necessary from time to time, but you should be aware of your surroundings.

2) This sounds almost like the opposite of #1.

3) Waiting in lines? What's that?

4) We sit right against the rope, and never had a problem with people trying to get in front of us that I can recall. I think one time a parent sent their kid up to in front of us, but he was smaller than we were. :confused3

5) That's why when we walk hand-in-hand, it's down the middle of Main St.

6) I disagree. :cool2:

7) Not everybody has a digital camera (shocking). And I try very hard to avoid getting into someone's picture. Doesn't always happen, but I try.

My one bit of advice?

Tolerance. Let the minor irritations slide off you like water off a duck. Accept that everyone will not look or act or dress or operate like you. Accept that there are thousands of different ways to see the world and while you might have found the most efficient way to see the world. I might choose a more relaxed pace over efficiency.

I think you can tastefully wear a cleavage shirt. However some don't exactly know how to do this. That's where the problem lies with me.

I'm more concerned with the really young girls in short shorts that look like boyshort underwear or low cut shirts. I mean at what age do you decide your daughter can show off all her goods? It seems to be quite young these days. I'm thankful for a boy that's for sure!

Too Funny!!!! :rotfl2:
I swear #4 is the people who show up late to sporting events just as they are about to start (read singing National Anthem) and then get back up 5 minutes later to go to the concession stands...grrrr...

They are only worth watching to make fun of old fashions, hair styles etc....

If they are older shows or parades that no longer run then they are fun to watch.

I do appreciate those who post videos of them on YouTube though. They have kept my son entertained!

Yes, or you'll drive yourself crazy. I already know that there are people out there that I think are insane because of their lifestyle and vice versa.

I've never seen this at WDW (then again I'm um, in my own little world most of the time). I've seen women wearing daisy dukes, and with the exception of one woman who had an amazing body, I think butt cheek cleavage should be saved for the bedroom. :goodvibes

I'm a live and let live kind of woman. I love the diversity that Disney brings. You want to show some cleavage or some plumbers crack? Have at it, I'll just look away if it bugs. If its not against the law, I don't care what you wear.

I've always found fashion police to be more irritating than fashion freaks. The freaks are at least interesting! ;)

Oh the parade one is the worst! This happens to me everytime! This year I said no more. I am one who will go and sit for 1.5 sometimes 2 hours before the parade to get the seat I want. I don't appreciate you practically sitting on top of me anytime. I don't get why others don't realize if you want the good seats you have to be willing to wait!

Our last trip a couple of weeks ago, my dh got mad at me because I spoke up a a couple of times. I didn't care. This was one time it wasn't going to happen.

After the parade, we stood up to stretch before the fireworks. This girl literally plopped her butt down where my ds had just been sitting. He hadn't even moved an inch. I promptly told her we weren't planning on leaving these seats. She got the picture.
