We have an ECV (and now a wheelchair) due to DH's diabetes & vascular disease and (above the knee) leg amputation this past July. We bought a Ford Flex this past January in anticipation of his vascular disease getting worse. We just didn't expect it would get worse so soon.

Anyway, we are in need of getting a ramp for the Flex so that it will be easier for me to get the EVC in and out of the vehicle. We don't want to get an attachment to the vehicle because the EVC will colapse and fit right into the back of the Flex. It breaks down easily enough but I'd rather not have to break it down and put it back together each time we need to use it.

So, I'm wondering where is the best place (and not the most expensive place) to get a car ramp?

Thanks in advance!

We have this one for our van. We have the longest one. We love it and have had it about 5 years. It doesn't have alot of wear and tear on it. It will scratch up the plastic to your car though. It also weighs about 45lbs. ;)

Hope this helps.

The ramps are heavy and hard to handle. When my son got his powerchair we were looking at the ramps at first for our minivan. The salesman kept telling me that we won't like them but I was trying to save money from purchasing a lift. He took us out back and as soon as I picked it up I knew that my wife would never be able to do this.
I was looking at the Harmar ramps at a local DME place but they were alot chaper on ebay with free shipping.
