Please help me choose the better hotel....
After researching hotels in Deerfield Beach, FL, I found two my company would be willing to pay for (for two nights). Both are on Hillsborough Blvd (I guess it is a very long strip or something), have free continental breakfast, and outdoor pools. The Ramada also has a 24 hr Denny's in the pkg lot. I think the La Quinta would be a few $ less than Ramada, but my co. is paying, so I'm going for quality. I won't have a car, so the Denny's is a plus. I'm not familiar with the area, but I'd like to be walking distance to shopping & stuff. I am hoping both of these are in a safe area. I'm sure I'll be spending some time with my coworkers (holiday dinner party that Sat), but I don't want to assume they will be with me the entire time. I checked tripadvisor, and both got some questionable reviews, but it's not a family vacation, it'll just be me.....

I know that Ramada is a trusted name and should be good. I am a picky person when it comes to hotels but any experience I have had with Ramada was excellent. I don't know anything about La Quinta, hopefully someone else can provide more info.

I travel often for work and LaQuinta's are one hotel i stay in the most. I would check to see if this LQ is one with interior entrance to rooms or parking lot. I usually will not stay in any hotel with exterior entrances to room esp when traveling alone.

Every LQ i have stayed in offer some sort of breakfast. contential but usually can make own waffles, have yogurt, muffins, bagels, cereals, etc...... I enjoy their breakfast actually. having freshly made waffle just seems to hit the spot. <G>

If they have the deluxe room go for it, will come with microwave, refrig and king size bed. (some have two queen or double)

I haven't stayed in a Ramada Inn in many years. LQ, and Marriot's usually my choice.

Oh don't go by the pics on LQ website to know what type of building i.e. interior/exterior. They often use their standard pic and doesn't always reflect the actually hotel. So call them and ask.

LQ website you can seach what is around, business, attractions, restaurants, theaters etc.....

If you decide on the LQ hope it is a nice stay. I haven't had any problems so far whether that be in Florida or other states. But again call specific location and asked questions.

best wishes
