We stayed at Desert Inn & Suites last week (6/6-6/9) and I won't return. However, their prices for the suite are a lot cheaper than other places like Park Vue and HoJos- but I'd rather pay more and stay somewhere nicer!
Here is my trip review:
We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting
Disneyland. We stayed in a Parlor "A" suite- 2 queens in the bedroom, and a sleeper couch/coffee table and tv in the "parlor".
PROS: Very basic; Clean (not super clean, but the carpet was newish, no mold/stains anywhere); The location is GREAT- literally right across the street (well, there is one hotel closer) than the main Harbor Entrance. About a 5-8 minute walk depending on how fast you are and whether you have to wait at the stoplight on Harbor. Close to Denny's. Can see fireworks from the rooms (ours at least- not all); rooftop viewing area for fireworks. Staff was polite, especially the parking staff.
CONS: Too basic (this is not a hotel you want to do much besides sleep at); beds are VERY VERY hard; only top floor rooms are quiet; one elevator- can be slow; breakfast basically junk and inedible; pool indoors and right on parking lot; bathroom is in bedroom of the parlor A suite and fan was noisy; parking may be valet if full; parking cramped (cars too close); no landscaping onsite.
Overall, I won't be returning- this was fine for our budget vacation, but i'd rather splurge and stay somewhere with softer beds and some landscaping.
Room Tip: Request top floor- it was quiet.
