What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Sounds like you raised them well. My DS used to cook every night, but I think he's over it for now. Between work & his social life, he mostly subsists on frozen pizza. That's why he loves Dad & Mom coming to visit. Oh, he also likes having a house cleaner, launderer & baby sitter for his little dog. Yeah, we're onto him.
Thank you! We are very fortunate to be very close with our sons who are both adulting well. But we too provide the occasional house cleaning and laundry services, lol!

Hubby and I ate a late lunch at this local place in So OC - Webb’s Grainworks. A couple of our friends convinced us to meet them there while we were out running errands. It was worth it! Super fun place in a random industrial park. Lew Webb was a local guy that owned several successful car dealerships in the area. He was also a classic car collector and the restaurant location is where he had his car collection housed as a car museum. After his death, his kids sold off his collection for the most part, but his youngest son turned this location into this restaurant. They not only brew beer but also distill vodka, bourbon, tequila & gin.

Anyway, it was a great lunch & delicious cocktails.
Will definitely go back.
Dinner will be a simple sandwich & glass of milk.

Cheers to a great weekend, all! 🥃

la land of leftovers tonight (diner's choice of what's in the fridge or snag a frozen microwavable item). cold and rainy for the next few days (with the cold anticipated to stick around) and it's got me craving comfort food so I pulled out from the freezer ALLOT of ground beef to make a normal sized meatloaf and several smaller (to freeze) as well as all the honey baked ham hambones and odds and ends of packages of ham pieces/slices. ham and meatloaf sandwiches will be available for the next few days and on Monday a big pot of split pea soup will be on the stove.

I just prepped dinner for tomorrow. I’m going to make a whole chicken in the crockpot but I like to do a dry rub the chicken the night before. I find it gives the chicken a great flavor. I love the convenience of the crockpot but often find the food bland. I don’t eat beef but would take any suggestions for non beef meals you make in your crockpot. Thanks!
