On our very near trip (Eeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkk!!!!!!!):hyper: , we are planning on eating at Rainforest Cafe. Anyone have any advice on which one? We are going to Animal Kingdom on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (27th November), which I believe WDW will be very busy? And, I don't know whether to book PS when we first go in, and have lunch? Or, after AK closes we will be going to DTD. Will we better off having dinner there? Which one is the best, and which one will be easiest to get in on a Saturday?

hiya

you cant book the rainforest cafe through disney ps seating, you have to call rainforest direct and reserve seating,

i am booked in for the 26th,

its dead easy to do, just look on the rainforest site for the number and then call they will use the last four digits of you home telephone number as your booking reference

Hi Julie Anne,

I can't help with the RFC question as I've never eaten in either I'm afraid :( but I would book on the basis of what you are most likely to want to do eating-wise. For example, my family tend to eat our "big" meal of the day in the evening so out of the above choices we would go for an evening meal at RFC at DTD. But if you think it would be nice to get out of the AK and escape the madness over a nice long lunch then go for the RFC at AK.

That's probably not much help, sorry!

We were able to book Rainforest cafe at AK (pS)! We are going to eat an early dinner there on 18 dec. I know this doesn't answer your question but thought people may want to know that you can book ps with disney there!

ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY - NOT LONG NOW YOU LUCKY THINGS!

Never done lunch or dinner, but breakfast at the AK one is excellent & you can book PS for this through Disney dining. We tend to go about 8am so are ready to hit the parks when they open at 9 & don't need to stop for lunch as the portions are very generous. The only downside was that DD (4 at the time) was petrified by the first clap of thunder & hid under the table!

We have eaten at both and they are both excellent. If I had to choose, it would probably be the one at Downtown Disney because of the atmosphere there as a whole - FANTASTIC!!!

:wave2:

i agree with Claddagh we have eaten at both a found Downtown Disney to have the edge over Animal Kingdom

not saying that Animal Kingdom was bad, just DD seemed to be a bit more buzzin :)

If you eat at DTD you will give yourselves a full day at AK. Coming out for lunch will seriously eat into your time and you may miss out on shows etc due to timings.

Enjoy a full day at AK with the knowledge that the fun will continue into the evening at RFC DTD!

I ate at both and really enjoyed both! They are very similar in atmosphere and have identical menus.

I agree with a previous post that lunch might eat into your time, especially in November when the parks aren't open so long. Still, 45 minutes off your feet might be a nice recharge!

hey julie-anne

we are going to be there the same time as you (at wdw) maybe we will see each other

where you flying from

The DTD location gets very busy in the evenings, so do book if you choose that one. Even then, you are likely to have a long wait.

We almost always eat lunch at the RFC when visiting AK on the basis that we don't rate the other eateries there. We usually make a reservation as we enter the park. That way you also skip the main turnstiles as the entrance to RFC is outside the park entrance and you can then enter the park via the RFC giftshop. If you opt for an early seating (11.30 - 12.00, say), you will be seated and served more quickly, so will lose less park time.

::yes:: I think I'm going with the majority and going to RFC at DTD, so that were not using up precious park time. I'll book the dinner when I arrive in Orlando.

Mushumadness, were flying from Manchester to Sanford on the lunchtime flight on Thursday (Travel City Direct), and at the present moment in time, my stomach's in knots! I don't know if it's excitement, or nerves, or both????:hyper: :scared:

julie anne

i am flying from manchester early friday morning to orlando international
