What Parks or orlando area attractions are best if we get rain on our trip next week? We have a two year old.
Thanks

I'd take a sweatshirt and a poncho and do whatever I had planned. Rain is pretty sporadic this time of year. Could be raining in the morning and better in the afternoon, or it could rain all day. Personally, I would do whatever I wanted.

Like Shells9 said get a poncho and enjoy the day, sometimes people will leave if the rain is to bad and then you have shorter lines. I don't really think rain should be a problem for you though. We went a few weeks ago and it was a light sprinkle, we didnt even need a poncho.

It seems to rain most every day we go! No biggie though, people just put on the poncho and keep going. For us, it seems that the crowds remain the same, and no one seems to mind the rain much. Everything pretty much remains open. I did notice that they close the Honey I shrunk kids play area at MGM though when it rains.
Bring ponchos and wear shoes that dry out easily and enjoy! :sunny:

The animals are supposed to get more lively on the safari ride at Animal Kingdom when it rains.

EPCOT is pretty spread out (especially World Showcase) so it can get pretty miserable on a rainy day.

Magic Kingdom is great on a rainy day!

it depends on what you have planned for your 2 yr old w/ regards to rides & shows. if you're going to see Mermaid, Playhouse Disney & Muppets, then I'd say that MGM would be best in the rain since all 3 of these shows are indoors & i believe that the Beauty & the Beast show has a covering over the outdoor seating (not sure though).

i'm not adjusting my plans if it rains & we'll have 3 kids in strollers for our upcoming jan. trip. the adults will wear disposable ponchos and i have rain covers for the strollers w/ mesh sides that snap back for ventilation plus the bottoms are open. i think they're made by Graco. i used them last jan. even when it didn't rain b/c they protected the children from the cold wind at night. the covers also saved our strollers from getting soaked while it rained when we were in shows. i wouldn't travel w/out them.

Get ponchos and have fun. One suggestion is to bring a couple of hand towels to just quickly dry off when you need to. Another is to bring a plastic bag to put the ponchos in when you are done or in a building for a while. We had a lot of fun in the rain this past November. There wasn't much more we could do but smile and have fun!!! :sunny:

I think MGM is the best in the rain because of the indoor shows. We've done MK in the rain and the crowds are low but you will get wet on some of the rides!

World Showcase at Epcot isn't that fun when it rains, because everyone runs indoors, making everything incredibly crowded. I'm always surprised at people's reactions to rain in Florida!

Like others have mentioned, buy a poncho and carry on (we didn't even bother with ponchos last year, we were too busy having fun!).

Our MK day last month was a rainy day. And it rained hard!! We wore those disposable ponchos, but they were too big on the kids. Our jeans were soaked mid-way up to our calfs. It was also chilly, like in the low 60's or upper 50's. It was still alot better than the summer heat, but it didn't make it a super fun day. Our stroller got soaked and I wish I had a towel to dry it off (good suggestion from the pp). One good thing we did in the rain was go to Tom Sawyer Island. The paths are all paved so there's no mud. There are alot of tress to cover you, and then there's all those caves. We practically had the place to ourselves. We saw only one other family while we were there.

Another attraction to head to is the Haunted Mansion. There is a canopy over the queue. And then the attraction is long enough that maybe the rain will stop or slow down once you get out.

We left MK around 6pm to go to FW for Hoop De Doo. We looked a sight!!! We were all wet, messy, and my hair was just crazy from the rain. Let's just say we didn't purchase the pictures!! lol.
