Seriously?!?!
It's only February 22 by my calendar. The weathermen couldn't even get the forecast correct for the upcoming 24hours as of yesterday morning!
It WAAAAAAY to early to be even slightly concerened about what they are predicting for a week+ from today!
That said, one should always be prepared to encounter a little rain at WDW.
At this point, use the forcast as a very general guide for how to pack. Often rain is shortlived at WDW - esp this time of year. Often enough, we've entered an attraction/restaurant before it rained and when we leave - it's already ended.
IF scattered showers are forcast - and you do see rain - unless you are really pressed to get someplace right then - oftenthe best thing is to simply wait under cover for about five minutes. Often by the time the masses have their ponchos on - the rain ends.
Other times, the weather is going to be cool - so a light jacket can serve double duty durig cool evenings/mornings. Sometimes too, a small amount of rain actually feels refreshing! I've never quite understood the fear some folks have when it comes to rain/water.
Almost certainly between the above- you will not need ponchos for every day of your trip.
ONe thing that can bite is very wet jeans, wet socks, and wet sneakers Also...well....lots of folks swear by a product called 'body glide' if chafing is at all an issue for you. If rain IS going to be a significant facotr - and even if it isn't - there's good reason to consider water friendly footwear.
Crocs are one fairly comfortable option. I can't wear them all day, but they beat cheap flip flops. (Which caneb slippery when wet) Water friendly shoes are also great for water rides. Another type of water friednly shoe is something liek Teva sandals or HIGH quality flip flops. All of the above can be a bit tricky to fin dhtis time of year.
You CAN buy Crocs at WDW, and there is (or was) a Crocs store in MCO. You can also find them at the Orlando outlet malls usually.
Last, if it is wet- and you have 'stuff' - ziploc bags can be VERY handy. I always pack my toiletries in large ziploc bags, incase they leak in transit. OFten I just reuse these. The extra large 2.5gallon ones are great. For kids, you can also pack 'outfits' in ziploc bags to expedite dressing each morning. (shirt, shorts, socks, underwear).
