there are two programs that you can apply for...
it is suppose to be hard to get that almighty acceptance??!!
Disney comes to the different colleges and recruits...
there is an intern program where you go to college for the business of Disney; they offer buisness, biology in plants (which was not the field Gwendolyn was in), of course different fields of entertainment (again not Gwendolyn's field) and really quite a few other courses...
She was accepted for the January session which would have run through May
,
they have three sessions to be considered one semester each. They work in the parks and are paid min. wage,& they have to pay for their room and board(taken out of their checks). They are expected to work and take what ever classes they are enrolled in (they do not have to enroll in many classes what ever they are able to)...many colleges work with their students to allow them to keep their full time status...because WDW did not have any classes in GWendolyn's field she would have lost her full time status while there (and health insurance when she turned 21--hence why she did not go
)
and then there is the work program w/no classes--she thought of doing this but again it cut into the end of her spring semester...for her to do it over the summer...
I hope I got it all...I'm typing and answering 3 yr old questions about Diego
You can access the college section of the WDW website if you have anyone interested and it will list when they are in your area for recruitment
