Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

you need to be sure and find her and ya'll need to remember all us poor souls at home thinking about all the fun ya'll are having

Ok, filing is done. Now time to play for 10 minutes. We'll see how fast I can type. Yay Amanda. It is so close to time for you. How exciting. Just go with happy thoughts and you'll have a great time.

Connie, is swimming over and I missed it again? I tried to hurry and get done so I could join you.

I wonder how Heather is today. I saw she did 2 miles this morning. I can't respond on FB cause the boss is one of my friends and he'll see I'm on FB instead of work.

Mel, I'm going to your update in just a minute.

Danielle I haven't seen you yet this morning. Hope everything is well. and the same to you Dana. I know you were working.

Yay! :yay: Filing's done!!! Good Job, Ginny! Wow, I can't believe Heather did 2 miles. She's puttin' us to shame! Of course, my friend who works the door has just adorned my desk with two Dark Chocolate Milky Ways. I told him to stop doing that, but he does anyways. And I can't resist chocolate!

Tell your "friend" he isn't. I love dark chocolate anything. Sandi is the bad one in her office. She's the supervisor of her department. She says its a good way for her workers to check in with her everyday. She is the one who doesn't like chocolate. But a couple of weeks ago she was eating all she could sink her teeth in. And on FB last week she was eating dark choc m&m's with coconut centers. Shame, shame. That would be like a mini mounds. yummy

He's the security guard at the door. Nice as he can be, and he'll bring treats for all the girls. He brings Milky Ways to me b/c he found out I like them. He brings brownies to my friend Kris across the hall. I weigh more now than I've ever weighed in my life, except for when I was pregnant! I wish you and I were co-workers, I'd give these to you since you like dark chocolate. :flower3:

Like I need any. I was doing so well with weight watchers and then when that stupid cancer found me I have not gotten my thyroid levels right since and have gained 20 pounds back. I go to the Dr. next week and hope he can get it adjusted right. He said it takes up to two years cause they can't make adjustments fast. I'm gonna tell him I don't have another year and get with it.:lmao:

I knew you said that in August you'd have to go back. I was thinking about you also this monring and wondering when your appt. was. See, I think about all of my DIS friends even when I'm not on here!

You'll have to let me know how it goes.

Dark chocolate M&Ms with coconut centers?!! YUMM!!! I want some chocolate! I have for about 3 days but can't seem to get to the store.

I've been reading dismagiclover's TR all morning. That's why I haven't been here. I've been on my own PTR once or twice too.

Sorry you guys are having to work this morning...wish I was. They'll be calling soon enough, I guess. Then I won't be on the DIS at all during the day.

I have to go get the boys in about 30 minutes. :) Continue to chatter away.

Oh, and "2 miles" isn't as glamorous as it seems. You guys did get my note that I've been doing this for about 6 weeks, right? I try to do it every weekday (sometimes at the park, sometimes in my neighborhood), but there has been a day here and there (and three days once) when I didn't get it in. My "jogging" is barely more than a fast walk. But it is something. I just wish I had something to show for it. Eventually I guess.

Hope you guys had a good lunch!

me too. I get my blood work, ct of the thyroid next week. Dr. the 20th and lucky me. mammogram the 20th. How exciting is that one? You haven't had one yet but do it before you are 40. Orders from headquarters.

Yes, ma'am! Actually, I think my GYN makes us go at 35. So, in five years, I'll get one. I'm so excited about it! I hear how much fun they are.

I've been once...at 30. I'll go every year at 35. My mom had breast cancer. Her sister had ovarian. I don't mess around with that stuff.

It is still moving and that is what matters. Be glad you didn't get to the store. Chocolate is not what it's cracked up to be.

It is a thrill.:thumbsup2

Yes go. I'm sorry to hear of your family history.

I know that is how I discovered the thyroid cancer so quick. Stay attuned to your body.

I'm so in tune with my body that I get paranoid over the least little things! Drives my DH crazy.

Hi everyone! I'm finally here! Was out all afternoon. My grandmom is trying to find one of those closets (armoire?), so we were out on a hunt. She doesn't want to spend a lot of money, so this is hard! LOL! Did we find anything? Nope! We will have to go out again!

So, yesterday DH and I were talking about our 1 year anniversary coming up in Oct. He tells me we should go away for the weekend! Well, this morning I was doing some thinking. Wouldn't it be great if we were able to go to Disney for a long weekend??!!! So I began my search. (Can't afford too much though!) I noticed on mousesavers.com that there is a room only dicount code out for when we could possibly go!!!! About $60 a night at a value!! But that is all I had time to look at since I was taking grandmom out. I was also looking into a night in NYC! Seeing a show & spending a night. I love NYC! Well, way too much money just to spend the night! I couldn't find a decent hotel for less than $200 for one night. And a show! Looked into Mary Poppins....either $120 a ticket or $60 a ticket! I think it could possibly be a bit cheaper going to Disney for 3 nights!!! So now I'm off searching again! However, how crazy would it be for me to go to Disney while pregnant???!!! I would be about 27 weeks!!! I don't know!! I'm still researching though!! LOL!

Ok! let's see since I have been gone ya'll have had chocolate (I want some);
I will be 41 in about three weeks and have not had a mammo yet...now wait Ginny don't fuss yet...I just stopped nursing Ashton past November--yes, we nursed past two and we enjoyed every minute of it--so flame for that either...doc told me to schedule one when the milk dried up(still waiting :confused3 I really don't understand why it is taking this long this time round:confused3--it's almost there; but it has been NINE months)...

Ginny I hope they get your meds right--I know that can be so aggravating (spelling--ok I can't spell --:rotfl:I was raised by phonic deaf cajuns--but, my sister can but can't do math:confused3).

Dad found out he was postive for prostrate cancer he goes see the doc next week to decide if he wants to do radiation or have it removed...but, thank goodness it did not spread...

Ashton is calling; won't sleep without me:confused3. Be back later...

both WDW and NYC sound like awesome weekends...mousesavers had a link for NYC disney shows (I think--check it out)...their is also another hotel on site but not WDW on mousesavers that has excellant rates...

whatever you decide to do just be careful and take care of your self and the little bundle...

Shopping is such fun. I would love to be with grandmother again. Enjoy being with her. I would do either NY or Disney. It is always fun to go to new places.

I would never flame anyone for being so lucky as to get to nurse their child. There is nothing that bonds a child more.

I will certainly add a prayer for your dad. Don's dad had prostate ca several years ago and it is back along with bone ca. He is 85. I know he is not doing well but he is trying to hang in there. Now that dear mom-in-law is home he is actually better. I know he missed her terribly while she was at the nursing home. He stayed by himself the whole time. Don's brother and sister would go see him everyday and take him to visit mom.

I'm so sorry that you guys are having to deal with cancer in your family, Connie and Ginny. I will be much in prayer!

deedee, I think you would be fine to go to Disney while pregnant. Just take it easy. With Mitchell, I was scared to do the least little thing for fear that I would put my sweet child in danger, but traveling won't hurt you or the baby, so long as you are careful.

The good thing about Disney is that most of the rides are rideable while being pregnant and there's lots of shows and things to do that don't require you to be up around and walking to your feet get too swollen for your shoes!
