They both had a great first day, thanks for asking.

Christian is a very picky eater (which I've probably mentioned somewhere-I'm starting to get confused between all of our threads). He was very worried about lunch because he brought his lunch last year (they don't allow any food brought into the school where he is going this year. You have to pay for the meals monthly-but the PreK is free, so I'm okay paying for meals). He didn't seem to believe me that they would have it there for him. Anyway, they had a chicken sandwich for lunch. His teacher said that he took the bread off, picked up the chicken and said "Is this like a chicken nugget?" His teacher told him "Yes, a big chicken nugget" so he ate it. But he didn't eat the bread. He told me, my mom, my dad, his brother, and anyone else who would listen that he "didn't eat the bread". He seemed to have fun, though, and was excited about going this morning (last night he said he wanted to stay home-last year he only went M,W,F), so I think we're good.

Will, on the other hand, is too big for words. I insisted on walking him to his class to take a picture because I figured this was probably the last year he will let me (he's in 2nd grade). He looked HUGE compared to the other kids I saw. The kid is just about up to my shoulder as it is and he lost his 7th tooth last Friday. I just can't believe how big he is. I just about lost it right there at the school. Of course being "big" has it's downside. He wasn't exactly thrilled that he already had homework yesterday. Or that I made him do it three times because the first copy was a mess and he ripped a hole in the second copy trying to erase. Yes, I am a mean mommy.

STILL can't believe school has already started. But I'm down to 44 days by Lisa's way of counting!!!

Dana-there are some tips on the Jedi training on Lisa's thread. I need all the tips I can get too. My boys need to be picked FIRST or we will be standing there ALL DAY. And thanks for that link to Treasure Kingdom or whatever it's called. I needed to know what they have for the cinch backpacks and I found it on there. Now I know I can get it as soon as we finish at TRex on our first day.

I am glad they had good first days. My youngest gs Alex starts middle school this year. His mom has always taken him and picked him up and now he will have to do the bus. They are all concerned. It is so hard for working parents to work around those school schedules. He starts next week so we'll see how it goes for him.

havent really gotten on the computer much lately. went shopping for the last couple of days to buy the last minute things. mom went out again for more stuff. its getting really close i cant wait. i would but i sorta kinda told my sis about it and thats how the prank war started off.

I can't believe it is so close to time for you to leave. That is so cool You will be there when Lisa is. I hope you have a blast and I can't wait to hear/read all about it. You are not taking over my TR.

We did go over Memorial Day and it was crowded. We spent the actual day at Ak. We did not get there early (that might have helped) because some of my family members don't get up as early as others. tee hee. So we had lunch off property first. And don't forget the rain. I think if it weren't for the rain it wouldn't have been bad. We had to choose that week because of school and summer practice schedules for the boys. And we did want to make it extra special for Sandi and Mike. I don't think that week is as busy as some because a lot of schools don't get out till June.

Needless to say we had a great time in spite of any hazards that came our way.

I only have DHS left to work on. That week went so fast for all of us.
