Ok so my day is coming up and unfortunately I'm seeing that there is 60% chance of rain that day. I was just curious if it had rained for other brides and if so how or where were your pics taken? I'm still praying and hoping that if it rains it's before the ceremony. If any of you have pics I'd love to see them. Thnx. :flower3:

check out jules' report - i know they did have rain on their day and some amazing pictures as well!:wizard:

i was just seeing your signature on another post and thinking "wow - its almost your time!". woohoo! i know i can't talk you out of checking the weather, it was my favorite hobby! - but this is a beautiful time of year! rain is good luck and, actually, typical of florida, you'll probably have all kinds of weather in your day! we had a lovely morning (we got married at 10am) and the afternoon was lovely. then it clouded up and thundered and stormed! on a january night!

congrats!!!

Thnx! She has some beautiful pictures! And yes I've been checking the weather like a million times a day hoping it'll change. LoL. I don't mind if it rains in the morning or if when we're at the reception. I just really want some pics outside. I've never been down in Sept. Is it like in the summer where it rains in the early afternoon for like 20 mins than stops? Oh well I just have to try and get it through my skull that regardless of how much I stress I can't control everything, but that doesn't mean I can't try. LoL.

I live here in Orlando and the weather can be so unpredictable, especially in Sept. There was a 60% chance of rain on my wedding day and it was the ONLY thing I was stressed out about. Well, there wasn't a SINGLE cloud in the sky the whole day! So you never really know. What is your wedding date?

Ohhh you just gave me hope! Thnx. :) It's Sept. 19. Can't wait!

Sept is really unpredictable, so don't stress too much over chances of rain. I will say that it rarely rains for hours on end this time of year. Today we had all sorts of thunder and clouds but it only rained for 2 mins or so and then it cleared up and the weather was pretty nice. The good thing about chances of rain is that there will be clouds so it will be a little bit cooler than it would if it were full sun.

This.

September weather is wonky. It may very well rain but it usually ends within an hour or so. It may pick back up later, and then stop, etc. Again, wonky!!

Regardless, try not to stress- you will have a beautiful day and get great pictures!

I agree with the other girls, the FL weather is totally unpredictable. For the week leading up to my wedding there was only a 10-20% chance of rain...then only a couple days before my wedding it shot up to 70-80%

It was clear on the morning of our wedding day, then STORMED in the middle of our ceremony. But it actually gave us amazing pictures because it was darker outside, which made the WP lights really illuminate in our photos!! It slowed down to a light drizzle by the time we were outside for the petal toss. I'm actually glad we got some rain just because we were able to get some cool umbrella shots that I had wanted anyway, rain or not! But the rain makes more sense

Because it was still drizzling, our cake cutting got moved into Whitehall Patio instead of Commander's terrace, and during our bride/groom photo time we spent a majority of it inside the WP and the Grand Floridian. I actually LOVE our GF shots the most...so you never know what kind of golden photo opportunities may come with rain! :goodvibes Thankfully FL showers don't last all day, so by the time we were almost done with our picture time, we were able to get a couple photos outside with the pretty blue sky :cutie:

Here's a couple example photos and there's more in my PJ/TR. HTH!

Wow! You had some really amazing pics. I guess the umbrella shots would be really nice to have. Thank you so much for sharing. I guess you're right. I'm sure our photographer will manage to take some great pics of us despite the weather. :goodvibes
