Rain on MNSSHP??

Will MNSSHP ever get "rained out"?? I just checked forecast for Sunday, Oct 2, and it says 60% chance of precip...I know if it's just raining a little bit, they'll still have parade, etc...but what about a real storm? I'm really worried!

If there is a thunderstorm, they may cancel or delay the parade but the party itself is never cancelled (unless there is a hurricane and the park is completely closed). I just checked weather.com, it says scattered showers, you'll probably be OK.

And I checked the weather just now and that day is SUNNY!!! Hooray!! I will be there too! I kinda hope it rains around 10pm and scares a few people away for the remainder of the night!! Sorry!

I have a great story regarding MNSSHP and the weather. We went in 1996, before it was this popular and there were only three nights. Our night there were tornadoes in the area. They did not cancel the party, although there were heavy rains that stopped just before 7 pm. We went in our yellow rain gear, as did a few others. The only costumes for a while were those yellow rain jackets that are in the WDW hotels. The place was nearly empty the whole night! You could walk on to any ride, get any candy, the place was ours! It was the best MNSSHP ever, we've gone seven times.
