Rain In December???

How much does it rain in Dec.? We will be there from the 19th -25th, and are wondering if sudden thunderstorms are common?? Should we pack umbrellas and ponchos everyday?? Do people even use umbrellas?? We are from California and sudden rain storms don't happen here very often, so I was wondering how much we need to be prepared in packing. Thanks!!

I live in central Florida on the Gulf Coast and December tends to be some of our driest weather, however, bring ponchos just in case! They are cheap enough and easy enough to pack, that way you don't have to worry. Note: Mornings and evenings (nights) tend to be cold in December (40' and 50's) but the temperatures rebound nicely in the afternoon to the 60's and 70's. Personally, it is my favorite time of year as far as weather goes! (I am originally from MI and the winters here are muuuuccchh nicer!)

The only reason orlando would get rain is if there was a coldfront coming.
You can bring an umbrella if you want. But just look at the weather for the week and go from there.

Bring ponchos. Also an extra pair of shoes. It rained so hard Christmas Eve 2002, that they cancelled the last performance of CP. Our tennis shoes were so wet, it took days to dry.

I've been to Disney 3 times during December and going the fourth this year. The one thing I've learned is pack from anything. It could rain, could be hot, could be cold (one year it was even colder than Ohio, unusually warm here unusually cold there). I pack a little bit of everything and plan on doing laundry once during the trip.

Oh No!! We have CP Ressies for the 24th! Hope that doesn't happen to us. I think I'm looking forward to this performance more than anything else!

We have been rained on at the CP (though it was not enough for it to be cancelled) and one day had VERY heavy rain. Be prepared for everything.
