DD will be 16 months old for our Nov trip. What do you suggest we do for rain gear for her. Has anyone ever seen poncho's or anything that small?

You can get one-piece hooded rainsuits with leg snaps, but they are usually pricey unless you are going to get a lot of everyday use out of them. I have one that I got at OUAC for $10, it retailed for $60. DS wore it all the time, but we lived in a rainy climate and I let him play outdoors in rain.

Best option for WDW is usually to just cut down a regular child-size poncho. If you want the sides to fasten, I recommend using glue-on velcro dots. Obviously, this is something you would want to do before the trip, and take it with you; you don't want to have to beg for scissors to cut down a poncho while you are there.

My best suggestion would be if you are bringing a stroller, to go to your local Toys R Us and buy a rain cover for the stroller. They cost about $20, but will be the best $20 you ever spent. You will be the envy of those who don't have one. Your stroller will remain dry as will baby and all of your belongings. Do bring an umbrella too, because when you take baby out of the stroller you will be able to keep them out of the rain too. We absolutely love our stroller cover and will go nowhere with out it.

ooh I like the idea of "cutting" one down to size.

The Lands End one is really cute, but my wallet likes the idea of cutting one down better. heehee

Thanks all!

We purchased a small winnie the pooh raincoat at kids R us before our last trip for our then 9mth old. We also had a rain cover for our stroller (it rained for 2 wks so that was the best buy ever). We found that we needed the raincoat as we moved to and from lines and the stroller. The coat was big enough that it will still fit him when we go again at 20 mths. The coat works better for us than ponchos because they stay in place better thus giving better coverage and no riding up around his head. I think that the raincoat cost $13. Well worth it. I have also seen small raincoats at Rugged Bear.

our 4 year old has been four times since he was a baby. he has yet to need anything. We always cover him up in the strooler with the stroller cover.
