I hope this isn't too silly but if it can happen it does to my kids!!
On the decks , is it possible to fall /slip over the edge? I want to give my kids 9 and 10 a little ley room but my nerves are gettting to me already--our cruise isn't until August and I am so worried.

Sorry!!

If they don't climb the rails they won't fall over...The difference is up to you::yes::

Deck 9 (where the pools are) is enclosed with a 9-10 foot plexiglass wall. Deck 10 and 4 have railings (higher than my waist) that are also lined with plexiglass. I can't speak to the verandah's since we had a Category 9 room.

Your child will not just fall off the ship. He would have to climb over the railing, probably using something to stand on since the plexiglass does not allow one to climb up the railing itself.

I did not see any child on the cruise try to climb the railings. They were having too much fun with what was going on between them.

The rail is pretty high up and it is plexiglass from the top of the rail to the floor. I think unless they pushed a chair over and climbed up and over, they should be ok! But being 9 or 10, they should know better!
