Railroad Guided Tour 2025

I just booked it for March 23 @ 10:45. If the forecast is hot, I will cancel it. I really just want to ride in the Lilly Belle. I don't think I'll be able to get to the park in time for the 8:30am tour.

Unfortunately, I don't think it starts until March 21.

Cost is $145 per person
24 hour cancellation required
Time: 8:30 am, 12:30 pm
Where is it on the website? I can't find it to look into booking.

Would anyone happen to know if there is still a Disney visa discount for the Walt’s Main Street story tour?

I took this tour today and it was awesome. I should preface this by saying that I love trains and Disney history. I would absolutely take this tour again.

Before the tour, we were given a snack of a strawberry and cream croissant (I saw it on the menu at Jolly Holiday and I recommend it) and a water bottle. The tour itself was a nice history lesson and we happened to have a hilarious guide. We rode inside the Lilly Belle and got to talk to the engineers and ask questions. At the end of the tour, they gave us each a map. I love my map and wasn't planning on going on any rides afterwards, but I don't know how we could have stored the maps if we did want to do rides. I suppose maybe get a bag from a store?

Overall, I give the tour 10/10. The snack was good and not too sweet. Our guide was great. The history was great. The Lilly Belle..... I just loved it. I love the train anyway and I have always wanted to ride in the Lilly Belle. The map was the cherry on top. I was considering buying the map (it's displayed by the snacks). I had no idea that we were getting them for free!PXL_20250323_190027235.jpgPXL_20250323_174251663.jpgPXL_20250323_200138325.jpgPXL_20250323_190227690.jpgPXL_20250323_173623470.jpgPXL_20250323_190013718.MP.jpgPXL_20250323_185933268.jpgPXL_20250323_185942128.MP.jpgPXL_20250323_190018426.jpgPXL_20250323_190022810.MP.jpg

I’m wondering how worth it would be to do this tour if we’ve already ridden in the Lilly Belle? Did you truly get a glimpse of the roundhouse, more than the quick pass whenever you ride the train? Our last ride in the Lilly Belle was late 2016, and in 2017 we got a fantastic private tour when they had it stationary at NOS in early 2017.

I think it depends on how much you like it, honestly. For me, hands down it would be worth it. It's important to keep in mind, if it's hot outside when you take the tour, you don't get to ride in it. You just get to look inside and take pictures.

We didn't get to see the roundhouse at all. The area around It's a Small World is completely blocked off. The reports I read last year said that they were just able to look at it from afar (near It's a Small World) and everybody was disappointed about it.

Thanks for the report. I was wondering what is the size of the map? (We were thinking of bringing a tube with which to roll it up for transport home.)

Sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for coming back and and filling us in on all of the details and for sharing your photos!

I’ve been looking at the Railroad guided tour page on the website today, and there’s no link showing up to book. Would that mean that it’s sold out or is it a website glitch or a me glitch? Any suggestions are appreciated ☺️

There's lots of open dates. From the Disneyland website, go to Things To Do, Events and Tours, Park Tours. From there, you'll have the availability calendar.

Hmm. So strange. Thats where I am and still no option to book. I’ve tried on my laptop, my iPad, and my phone. I’ll try again another day, but I know it came up for me before. I might have to call.
Thanks for your help ☺️

I hope you were able to get the date you wanted. I saw a post on Reddit that someone couldn't buy theme park tickets from the website yesterday and they had to call to buy the tickets. 🤷

Thanks for that info. I’ll keep trying for a couple of days and if that doesn’t work, I’ll have to give them a call.
