Beautiful establishment -- I'd like to spend more time exploring
I had the "Pie in the Sky" -- chicken and mushrooms with a puff pastry. Good thing was there was a lot of chicken in it. Bad thing, it was so bland that I had to keep salting and peppering. My DD had the "It's Not Bleedin' Chowder" and she said it was the same thing. DH had the Bangers & Mash and he had the tastiest meal.
The man sitting next to us ordered a bowl of what looked to be a very watered down vegetable soup. I heard him say, "This is the blandest thing I've ever eaten!" He even told the waitress that and they let him swap it out for what I believe was the Colpuccino and they said it was delicious. He also had the Shepherd's Pie and he said it was very good, too.
The *big* winner of the night was the bread and butter pudding. It came in a large coffee cup with two little pitchers of vanilla cream sauce and a caramel sauce -- more than enough to drench the pudding. This alone would have been worth the trip to Raglan Road.
Will we go back? Yep. But I'll order something different!
