My husband would love the music at Raglan Road which doesn't seem to begin til after 9pm. Would my kids still be welcome in this pub-like atmosphere this late? They are ages 8 and 12.

Would it be rude to make an ADR for 9pm and then only order 2 appetizers and some ice cream for the kids? I hate eating a heavy meal so late, but I also hate to take up a primo table from a server...Hmmmmm......

Your kids would absolutely be welcome at Raglan Road at 9:00, though I don't think Friday or Saturday night would be my first choice. I hear PI is more havily populated by locals (ie, no kids) on the weekends.

We took our 4 and 10 year old last year around that time and it worked out great. We were seated right in front of the band, and right next to the dancer's stage. The kids had a blast listening to the music and marvelling at the dancer's moves. In fact, they spent the rest of the trip trying to mimic her!

As for taking up a table, well, many of the folks there order very little food at all, so I wouldn't worry about that. Their appetizers and desserts were our favorite parts of the meal last year, so go and enjoy.
