Has anyone been to either of these restaurants? If so how was it and what did you liked or disliked about it. I am looking for a TS lunch on the day we are going to DisneyQuest (we will eat first then walk over). I have an ADR for Raglan Road already, however, I just read a food blog about Paradiso 37 (from the Disney Food Blog) and now I can't decide which one we should go to...darn Disney Food Blog :rotfl:. The only thing is we will be on the DDP and I know RR is a 1 credit meal but can't seem to find out if Paradiso 37 is part of the DDP or not. If it isn't then we will just stick with RR, but if it is, then I am really leaning towards Paradiso 37. Any help would be greatly appreciated...TIA.

Raglan Road is one of my favorites! Never had a bad meal and the atmosphere is fun. I've never been to Paradiso so I can't compare but they are both 1 TS credit on the DDP.

Thank you so much...I am so happy to hear that. I had DH look at both menus and he prefers Paradiso a bit more too, however we do want to try RR sometime, probably for our next trip. Thank you everyone for your responses :goodvibes

We love Raglan Road. Great menu with lots of variety. Based on your DH's icon in your signature with what looks like a Guiness he should definitely go to Raglan Road.

Yes he does love a good beer :goodvibes....BTW we will be checking into the Poly on the same day as you :cool1:....we will be the family of 4 with LGMs on our backpacks or you may see DH and I lounging around by the pool bar...of course DH with a beer in hand while I have my Pina Colava .

We really liked the food at Paradiso 37, but didn't enjoy the atmosphere at night that much (not sure if it's different at lunch), the music was so loud we couldn't even talk to each other and it was so dark you could hardly read the menu. They changed over to live music after about 30 minutes of our being there and it was still loud, but it was such a nice break from the banging industrial music that was playing when we walked in that it didn't seem quite so bad. We'd love to go back since we really did like the food, but I'd go for lunch hoping it would be a more calm experience.

The ddp is new to those restaurants so I don't know about that either.
But we have eaten at both several times and much prefer Raglan Road. The food is much different, so if you find that Paradiso is on the ddp, stick with that since it appeals to you more.
We thought the food at Paradiso is just ok, and liked the food at Raglan Road better. Both environments are different and are unique in their own way.

Everyone's tastes are different, so you really can't go wrong with either place! I'm sure it will be a good meal overall wherever you go.

Thanks for the review....I will let you know how lunch was, I'm hoping that it won't be as loud at that time of day (have a 11:30am ADR) :goodvibes.

Thanks you, we do plan on trying Raglan Road at some point (planning on it for our 2013 trip), but when I showed the menus to the rest of my family it became a joint decision to go to Paradiso instead (we all are big fans of Mexican food). We haven't done a lot of dining in the DTD area so this is all new to us. The only TS restaurant we have ever eaten in DTD was Portabello's. Can't wait to start trying them all :goodvibes.

If you go to Paradiso 37 for your TS and have time for a quick service meal at another time, you can get quick serve at Raglan Road -- yesterday I got the chicken tender and chips for DS (but there's also the fish and chips, etc.) There are a few tables available to eat indoors or you can sit outside. I tried his chicken and it was very good.

That is great to know, I don't know how many times we will be in DTD on our trip (we usually go at least twice) and we tend to eat at EoS for a Quick meal....however, RR would be a great alternative :goodvibes.

The best thing about RR is the entertainment. I'd recommend going when the band is playing and the step dancers are performing...which would be dinner (and I don't think there are dancers on Sunday or Monday). I would not even consider going for lunch, as the food is kind of hit or miss in our experience. We have had great luck with the Shepherd's Pie (delicious on 2 separate occasions). Even the bread pudding that was wonderful the first time was a little overcooked the second time. But the dancers were great!

We've never ben to Paradiso, but I think you made the right decision for lunch. Enjoy!

I see you made your decision, but I just wanted to chirp in and add that I have Paradiso on my list for my trip in December. It doesn't get a lot of attention (maybe because it's new to the DDP? :confused3 ) but the menu looks absolutely phenomenal! I also saw the post on DFB that you were referring to and that sold me, haha. Hope it's good!

I really have to watch out for those DFB blogs or I am going to change my whole dining plans around :rotfl2:. I hope you and your family have a wonderful time at Paradiso :goodvibes.

Here's my video review of RR:

Have fun!!

That was a great video, thanks for sharing. RR is definitely going to be on our must try list for our next trip :thumbsup2.

We've been to both. I really liked both but have to say I liked Paradiso 37 more.

We will be trying out Paradiso 37 on our first evening this year !! So excited, the menu looks amazing, I can't decide what to get off it !!!

Can anyone tell me where in Downtown Disney it is located? What is near it?

:santa::santa::santa:

Never mind, I found it on the review below...

Paradiso 37 is the new restaurant at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida located on Pleasure Island in Downtown Disney. Located next to the Adventurer’s Club, it’s a multi-level, indoor – outdoor sort of place and I think it’s going to prove to be popular.
