DH and I are taking a quick trip to Orlando St. Patrick's Day weekend. There is a band we would like to see playing at the Raglan Road Patio stage Sat night at 11pm. The website says no reservations and guests will be seated on a first come first served basis. Realistically how soon would we have to arrive to get in at all? Is it crazy busy there? Is there space available we could stand and watch the band or do you have to wait for a table to get in at all? We have never been to Raglan Road before.

Let's put it this way

We once had the misfortune of going on halfway to st paddys day. Omg it was insane. We waited over an hour for our table w a reservation. Met friends and didn't realize how long we were waiting

It was packed, insanely loud and lousy service.

Good luck

I went a few years ago. Here is what to watch out for.

1) I don't know what they did beyond a few years ago but when I tried it (I think 2015) they did not take reservations all day for March 17. Everything was first come, first served.
2) Line to get in started well before they opened.
3) There is a cover charge, per person, all day (not for under 18). It was $10 I think.
4) They removed all the barstools. They brought me one because I was there by myself, so I didn't need to take up a table.

My advice is, have a reservation if you want a table on the 16th or 18th, but avoid the 17th. I'll be out there this year. Having dinner at the Edison. Probably won't go near RR.

If you really want to go and hear the band, you are lucky that they are on the Patio stage. You can probably hear them if you sit across on the steps at Morimoto and avoid all the lines and cover charges.

I don't know what RR is like, but any Irish bar on St Patricks day is a mess, especially when it's on a Saturday (we won't discuss how many St Pat's I've been in my local Irish Pub). You may as well just get there before they open and not leave.

I noticed on the schedule Elevation is playing inside at 11 on Friday night, I'm not sure that will be better than outside on Saturday. And opentable has reservations available at 945 and 10 PM for two people on the 16th.

Since we are pushing 40 and no longer into the loud/crowded/drunken scene perhaps we will spend the evening elsewhere. Elevation sounded like a good idea at first but Trader Sam's is looking better and better. Thanks!

I don't know if it will be quieter, but you won't be drinking green Bud Lite!

Definitely aged out of drinking green beer AWHILE ago!

Confession - we have never actually been to Disney Springs! We are not big shoppers but I know there are several stages/bars/venues. Is there anywhere I could look up what bands etc is going on for entertainment that night? TIA
