Raglan Road Entertainment Question

We hit RR early on a Sat evening last Oct, 5 ish, and the dancers and band were performing when we got there, every other time we were there it was a weekday and stuff didn't get under way until later. Is it usual for things to start earlier on a Sat or did we just get lucky?
