Raglan Road -- Big Disappointment!!!

Im still a lil confused on the OP problem. You where never brought a bill? or was it that the $50 g/c covered it and there would have been some left over and the waitress kept it. Cause you dont get money back out if its left over. But if you had to pay above $50 then how you know what to pay? We have 4 G/C so I am just trying to figure out what you are meaning.

DH and I were also there last week. Nothing special at all as far as the dinner. The entertainment starts at 9:00, so we will be back for the music, and perhaps some liquid refreshment, but will not return for dinner.

To be honest, I didn't understand that either. Are you saying that she/he just walked up and said it's "this" much? If that is the case, I'm not worried because there is no way I'd pay a tab like that.

As far as the service and price per serving size, I am worried about that. We will be there Saturday night and were hoping for a good meal. And worse than a bad meal is poor service. I don't put up with that.

I will have an open mind when we go though. I will certianly give them the benifit of the doubt until proven otherwise. You can look for my report next week. It's a short trip.

We ate there on Halloween night and were very happy. They put us in a back room (perhaps due to the fact that we had DD's 2.5 yrs and 4months). Everyone was happy with their food (I had the best burger of my life...and that's saying something b/c that's all I ate with my second pregnancy!!).
We did notice that it was dead and we were seated where all the wait staff tended to congregate. They did tell us our kids were adorable and smile at them whenever they got the chance, though. Our server was ok, but she left a bit to be desired.
We loved the food and DH and I had 4 beers and the 2 burgers between us and slightly went over the $50 cert.

I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I think the burger is the way I will go too. I have seen some menu prices but not beer prices. Since the burger is $12 and you had two, (not to be meant as two alone:rotfl2: ) that would make beer prices what...$6 each inorder for you to have run a bit over $50?

If you have any beer prices to share it would be great! :flower:

We were never brought an itemized bill. Our server simply told us the amount that was due over and above the $50 certificate. She took our credit card and brought back a receipt for us to sign which was in the amount she said was the balance. I thought it was a bit strange but we went ahead and added her tip and signed the receipt. It wasn't until after-the-fact that I went through the amounts of our entrees/beverages and realized things just didn't add up. That's why I felt she may have included her own gratuity to the balance. I know it was stupid of us not to demand an itemized receipt. I only mentioned it because I didn't want it to happen to anyone else.

Calypso, I didn't mean to judge you for not asking for a reciept. Believe me it's better to be a nice person at the cost of being occasionaly gullible than never to be duped at the cost of being a cynic. You'll live much happier than the cynic. :earsboy:

You're about right. I think DH said it was about $6 a beer (he had 2 somethings Irish and I had 2 harps). He said it was a bit pricey but hey, what can you expect at Disney. A few nights prior we went to Downtown to walk around and got RumRunners for $8 each!!! Holy moley!! He said, "welcome to Manhattan!!" We laughed and bought more (hey, we were kid free!!!) . Cha-ching....
By the way, if I hadn't eaten earlier in the day, I would've finished my burger and had half of his later in the evening(and I'm not a big eater).
I had the other half of mine when we got home, though, and then he ate his the next day. I tried to convince him that a robber came and stole his burger but he didn't buy it and I couldn't crack a bottle over his head to knock him out so he ate his other half himself. oops...I called my hubby a bad name... I meant to call him a booger!!!

Well I know Don(JackSplat) will be there when we go. And he's my server, so I dont expect any problems, cause DON IS THE MAN!! T-18 days till my next RR visit. :drinking1

Where did you get the clear channel GC and is it possible for me to get one????

It was a limited time promotion - someone had posted a link to it here, but they've all long since sold out. Sorry, 2boyshere.

Pint of Guiness, $6.50. I assume all the imports are right around there.

Not cheap, even by Disney standards, but keep in mind there is no cover--that always drives drink prices up.

I'll be looking forward to your report, Shasta. As the proud (?) posessor of a CC cert., I'm looking for lots of feedback - hope yours is one of the positive experiences!
