If anyone is deciding on whether to stay at the Radisson at the port or not, I wanted to post how thrilled we were with the accomodations and service. It is SO easy to find, very convenient location, plenty of parking, super friendly service.

We had a 2 king bed suite with whirlpool which included a mini-fridge, microwave, small table with chairs, sitting area with TV, and a second TV in the bedroom area. Very nice. We were disappointed that we were only staying overnight and wouldn't have a chance to make full use of the room!

The front desk staff impressed me with their friendly attitudes and helpful answers, despite having to answer the same questions over and over again to new guests. We checked in at dinner time and they were serving a seafood buffet at $23 a head. The desk clerk didn't bat an eye or lose her smile as she directed me instead to the Perkins down the road.

Similarly, the Avis staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was so EASY to drop off the car there and to pick one up upon our return. I would highly recommend it.

I would agree!!! We have stayed at the Radisson 3 times before our DCL cruises and loved it every time. We have had regular rooms and the also 2 king-bed suite and the 1 king bed suite. The jacuzzi was a life-saver once due to horrible weather outside...the kids had a ball in the jacuzzi!!!

We have found the front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Never had a problem. We were a group of 20 last August and could not get ressies anywhere for dinner, we opted to eat in the hotel restaurant and were accomodated wonderfully. They were great with the kids and the prices were not that bad...pretty in line with other restaurants of the same quality (we did not do the buffet).

Also, the pool area and grounds are very nice and we would not hestitate to stay there again!

Just wanted to add my praise for the Radisson at the port!!!

We also like the Raddison. Does anyone know of any special codes going on?

Just the "FALL code for $79 a night. Just to think the "FALL" code last May was $59

I got a room on the net last night for the Radisson for $99. It was the Floribbean Getaway...or something like that. We're staying 4 in a room and we just wanted a simple room for the night before the cruise. I didn't need any special discount codes, though. Seems like a good deal to me!

Tchalene...When you book on line where it asks for any promo code put in the word "FALL" and it will be $79 for the same room you are paying $99 for. Check it out, you could always cancel the other one.

I forgot to mention the beautiful courtyard and amazing pool. It was VERY cool while we were there but we bundled up and enjoyed walking through and looking at everything. Look for the tucked away koi ponds and the parrots in the trees!

We want to go back for an extended visit.

Just checked about reservations for our cruise in Sept.. There doesn't seem to be 'Fall' code right now????

Also, I asked on the other thread. Do you absolutely have to book a code that includes parking in order to take advantage of the parking and shuttle van to the Port?

I don't think so. It's my understanding that if you stay at the hotel, you can catch the shuttle to the port.

We, too, enjoyed our stay at the Radisson a few weeks ago. We had one of the king jacuzzi rooms for $99 and it was very, very nice. Those two-room suites are so nice for "stretching out." :)
I was wishing we were there for more than just one night! The grounds/pool were beautiful too, but we just didn't have time to fully appreciate/enjoy them.

I do have to comment about the shuttle to the ship, though. Going to the ship was no problem. We were signed up for the 11:00 shuttle but were able to get on the 10:30 one instead so that was great. However, getting BACK to the hotel AFTER the cruise was another matter. We went to the area where we were told they would pick us up and we waited, and waited. We were behind several people, so once a shuttle finally did come it quickly filled up so we waited again. The next shuttle stopped at a DIFFERENT area!! People who had JUST gotten off the ship were able to climb right on, even though one lady in our "group" ran over to the shuttle driver and told him we all had been waiting much longer. He just shrugged his shoulders and ignored her. We continued to wait and wait and wait. Finally, other people in the "group" were getting tired of waiting so one man was able to get a TraveLynx shuttle driver to agree to take all of us back, for $3 a person. We gladly paid the $3 each!!

I feel that the Radisson's shuttle service going BACK to the hotel could be improved. The drivers shouldn't stop at DIFFERENT locations, but ALWAYS the same one so people don't get confused, and people who have been waiting the longest should be able to get on first.

We stayed at the Radisson the night before our 4-day Carnival Fantasy cruise, but we stayed at the Quality Suites just down the road the night before our Disney Magic cruise and even though it cost us $70 to park our vehicle at port, it was still worth it to be able to get off the ship and go right to our vehicle. We weren't "at the mercy" of the Radisson shuttle that time.

I used the code "Visit Florida STE" and got a 1 BR suite, 2 king bed, whirlpool for $99/night!! Just click on "view all rates" on the internet and you should see the "Visit Florida STE" rate (we are cruising in June)...we loved the Radisson last time and look forward to staying there again!

I justd booked for the night before our cruise and also got the 2 king bed room for $99 using the fall rate. Seems there are lots of rates out there! I'm looking forward to it!

I got a one bedroom for $99 back in the fall....cheapest it is right now is $119 ...glad I booked when I did...:D

is the $99 rate for the Floribbean Getaway?
Is that what everyone is booking? Doesnt say it's a 1bedroom
Is there a rate out for a regular room?
I had the $49 rate for last Nov - dont think I can get it again for this Nov? or is it too early?

I see that I can get $79 for the night, but would I still be able to leave my car there during my cruise? It doesn't say. I am asking because I already have a ressie at the Radisson that is the "cruise rate" which includes leaving your car there while you are on the cruise. Can anyone out there help me?

Thanks

HELP ... I'm part of the CRUISETOBERFEST II group and I just tried to use the FALL code and it didn't work? Any suggestions ... There seems to be at least 10 families that will be booking rooms at this point in time. The night we need is 10-10-03 to depart 10-11-03 and leave our cars in their lot and shuttle to the ship.

We have stayed there before and it was great!

I answered a similar question on a concurrent thread. Although a listing of their rates indicate certain rates include cruise parking, the Radisson employees seem to care not whether you leave your car there even if you book the lowest rate available.

You can leave your car at the Radisson no matter what price room or package you book. We had the $59 rate in July and had no problem leaving our car.
