RAC and "free" bag check using Delta AmEx

We leave in 18 days ! I recently got a Delta AmEx card and it allows me a certain number of free bags when I travel. How does that work with RAC? Can I still use RAC or do I have to check in at the airport?

We used Delta last year and had free bags and used the RAC desk at BC. If you need to pay for bags you had a number to call to pay for that ahead of time and then took a confirmation number to the desk (unless its changed). Last year we just walked up to the RAC desk, checked our luggage, got our boarding passes and went to a park. We never said anything to them and they never questioned the bags/payment.

RAC is exactly like curbside check-in, just 30 miles from the airport. So they can handle any type of baggage check-in you have. We traveled with an active military person and his wife. Our airline allowed them to fly both bags for free. It came up that way in the computer and they were not charged; he just had to show his military I.d.

I've used my Delta AMEX. It's in your reservation as long as your skymiles # is on it. When RAC pulls it up, it sees 1 free bag just like if you used to kiosk at the airport.

FYI - you don't need to charge your tickets to the AMEX to get the benefit. I've used my corporate card for business travel and still got the 1 free bag and early boarding. It's all tied to your skymiles #.
