Rabbit, Hatter & Chessie Go Rogue in Christmasland.New5/11 Meet my Nemesis, Splash M.

Patricia, sorry for being so absent. I somehow always think I need to get up to date with your TR before I read later updates and reply... But now I got caught in your BoG update! So happy that you loved the place. I do have ADRs there fore dinner (it seems like for lunch there are now ridiculous lines every day :confused3) and am very much looking forward to it!

And I also wanted to say congratulations to Emily! Sounds like a fantastic school! Was that her number 1 choice that was not allowed to be mentioned? Even if it wasn't it still sounds like a fantastic place! And I hope she is happy! :goodvibes

Every time I read a review of BoG I just can't wait to eat there this summer. It really looks so cool. So glad everyone enjoyed their lunch and that the wait was only 30 minutes.

Love your shirt! So cute!

Hi, Patricia!!! I am here believe it or not! LOL! I am going to try and catch up over spring break -- I think I need to back track all the way to January, though. :scared1: I can't believe so much time has passed!

Okay, I am going to post several times as I catch up, so I don't forget anything -- which I probably still will knowing me.

Those creepy chairs! Definitely the stuff of nightmares. LOL!

I love the Boardwalk t-shirt -- so cute!

But the peppermint cupcake -- now that is something I could dream about happily!

Love your family photo at the Osborne Lights -- so cute! If you had your fourth family member, that would have been a great Christmas card pic! Maybe you could photoshop her in. LOL!

I so want our next trip to be at Christmas -- I am thinking that will be my plan in 2014.

Kali smells like Barbeque Chicken Day! :lmao::rotfl2: I am dying!!! I feel your pain at the drenching -- it ALWAYS happens to me!

You will appreciate this -- Connor said for his 21st birthday he wants to go to Monte Carlo to gamble. Want to come with us? :rotfl2:

Cracking up over your prayer to live on Everest!!! By the way, you MUST read Above All Things about the 1924 Everest expedition -- seriously, I am still in love with that book and I read it several weeks ago!

Another great Christmas photo with Goofy!

Yeay for riding Dinosaur -- that's one of our favorites!

As far as DISing, when I do DIS, I like to do it every day. That hasn't happened lately though.

The Dawa Bar is a bastion of grown-up happiness! One of my favorite places at Disney! Glad that you discovered it!

I think I am caught up!!!

A million congrats to Em for her acceptance to John Hopkins! You must be so proud of her!

Can't wait to hear about Rome!!!

I have unused Mickey Basin soap, too. Like you said, once it's gone, it's gone. :(

Love all the new Fantasyland pictures -- I can't wait to see it in person!

I get teary-eyed during the MK morning show, too -- you are not alone. :rotfl:

BOG looks like such a fun experience!! Glad you enjoyed your meal there

Congratulations to Emily!! What exciting news!! :goodvibes

Congratulations to Emily! How exciting!
Welcome home and hope you had a very Happy Easter!

Congrats on the college acceptance! :cool1: It is so nice to just know and start looking forward to all that college has to offer! How far is JH from you??

And....WOW, I will definitely be trying to get in for lunch at BOG. I don't think the dinner menu looks that great (too fancy for us), but lunch looks wonderful!

Getting all caught up! Hope you are doing well and had a great time in Rome.

Never been to Raglan Road. Food looks great. Will definitely have to give it a try.

I love walking in the MK. It is the best feeling ever! I want to retire to Florida and stand on Main Street each morning with a big Mickey hand waving as guests come in. That is my dream job! :)

Glad you enjoyed Fantasyland. It was my favorite part of our last trip. The details are great and we too loved Be Our Guest. It is magical at night.

I too can't wait for the Mine Train to open. Already thinking of when we will go in 2014 to enjoy it!!!

I ate lunch at Be Our Guest a couple of weeks ago. Our food was just okay. The fries were cold when they got to us, but we didn't say anything. The building itself is nicely done. It's nice that you can have that 'castle experience' for a reasonable price. :thumbsup2

BOG looks amazing! All the details they put into the castle, both inside and out, are incredible. :goodvibes I can't wait to go there myself one day. Plus, I love that the menu is a little different and you can get more than just burger and chicken strips. Makes it well worth waiting in a long line!

I did not know about the rose buzzer, either. Interesting new way of getting the food out to customers...

Caught up on your TR.

Great review of BOG, I can't wait to see it myself in June. I also agree I like your snow white shirt.

Congrats to EM!

:goodvibes

BoG looked very cool, nice pics - even if I had to turn my head a bit for a couple of them ;-] The food sounded great too. That rose to let you know you're food is ready is a very nice touch.

We'll have to give the place a try on a future trip!

Thank you very much for following along with my TR, kinda sad to have it finished :P Ah well, there's always the next trip!

I'm looking forward to seeing those Disney Classics you were referring to and I hope you Splash experience was a good one! :goodvibes

Hey all...:wave2: remember me...?

I didn't go awol... I've just had a really, really emotionally rough week.

My sweet daughter... had a bit of an emotional melt down this past week...

Well actually, that's a bit understated... She blew like a volcano ...

I think she was holding in all the stress of senior year... the grades, the college apps in and when the admissions process was completed... it was like a damn...just bursting... not only did she has a full anxiety meltdown... she was also really physically sick... this started on Tuesday and as of today she is starting to feel better... after an emergency session with the Psychiatrist and some TLC....

She had fought and been diagosed with serious anxiety in 5/6/7th grades... doctors, meds, etc. She couldn't go to sleepovers, nightmares, school trips were hard... constantly in a state of anxiety... It was so hard to watch...

She worked her way through and in fact thrived in so many ways...but people who have a vulnerability to or have a mood disorder... it's still there... it's just being controlled/handled...

If you didn't know... you would never guess if you met her... she looked and acted like the girl who had everything totally under control...

But mood disorders have a funny way of sneaking back in at moments of high pressure... just lurking beneath the service... and for many of us ...we want to will them away... because we think if we were just stronger we would be able to...

But that's not true...

& the reason that I'm sharing this (& btw Jackie- I did see your stuff with Connor and I'll be heading over to your board soon..)

& I guess the reason that I'm sharing this is two fold...

I just hope that if anyone reading this is either coping with any kind of mood disorder either with themselves or with someone they love... that you realize that it isn't a weakness or a character flaw... you can't will it away ...but you can work through it...

& you aren't alone... so many people have these issues...there shouldn't be any shame or stigma associated with it...

Eric and I have joked... so I wouldn't cry... that we make beautiful, smart, kind children who just happen to need a bit more support on the emo side... but then so have I ... so I really can't be that surprised...

I love them with all of my heart and wouldn't change them for anything... I just wish their journeys could some times be easier BUT one thing I've definitely learned is that you truly never know what someone is facing or dealing with...

So let's hear for a round of kindness and empathy for everyone... No exceptions...:grouphug:

Great review of BOG, I agree completely! They really did an amazing job with it . That quinoa salad looks delicious, I thought about trying it but we shared meals since we were there more for the atmosphere than actually being in need of food, so I ended up with a sandwich!

Undoubtedly the atmosphere is the first reason to go... but it's awesome the food is so good too...:thumbsup2 It's a win-win...

Good Morning Patricia and Happy Easter to you and your family! I've been trying to catch up since I've been home but it's almost been like a comedy of errors. Ugh. I loved your review of BOG and I am soooo anxious to try it! I think the pork looks amazing and I believe that's what I'm going to get....that is if we get in!!

Thank you... it's really good... and if you can't do dinner... def go for lunch... & thanks on the Easter wishes... I hope yours was great as well...:goodvibes

You must be soooo proud of Emily! Wow what an awesome school! It makes me feel as though there's hope for Victoria for moving past her issues. Speaking of that you should have seen Victoria at Playlist. She was shining! She was really in her element and it was wonderful to see. :)

I'm so incredibly proud of Ems... she's not only smart but she's an awesome person as well... (but as I wrote above ... we're having a bump in the road right now... which I have no doubt she will be able to manage...

I am really happy for Victoria :goodvibes I know you were planning on writing up your experience at Playlist... and I can't wait to read about it....

Oh man, BOG looks more and more amazing every time I read about it. It's so beautiful in there! I think it's pretty cool that its ts for dinner and ca for lunch. Some day I have to get there. Thanks for the review!

It's awesome... It's on my top list of places to do/experiences at Disney now...:thumbsup2

I'm so happy that you're here... You'll have a great time at BOG...the imagineers really did a very impressive job... if the food at lunch is any indication... the dinner should be very good...:goodvibes

And I also wanted to say congratulations to Emily! Sounds like a fantastic school! Was that her number 1 choice that was not allowed to be mentioned? Even if it wasn't it still sounds like a fantastic place! And I hope she is happy! :goodvibes

Thanks for the congrats... It's a great school and it's perfect for her... very serious...(a little nerdy...lol) close access to DC... so they get great speakers and such... she thinks she's going to major in Political Science and minor in French Culture and Language (she wants to go into Law or Public Policy... Her number one school kept changing... but Hopkins was always one of her top three and she's thrilled to be going

Every time I read a review of BoG I just can't wait to eat there this summer. It really looks so cool. So glad everyone enjoyed their lunch and that the wait was only 30 minutes.

Love your shirt! So cute!

It really is pretty cool...:goodvibes and thanks about the shirt... I happen to be particularly fond of that one...;)

Hi, Patricia!!! I am here believe it or not! LOL! I am going to try and catch up over spring break -- I think I need to back track all the way to January, though. :scared1: I can't believe so much time has passed!

Hey Jackie...:hug:I know you had your Master's Curriculum Project & I did see your posts about Connor come through email... I'm really glad that you're able to play again...

Okay, I am going to post several times as I catch up, so I don't forget anything -- which I probably still will knowing me.

LOL... I do that all the time...

Those creepy chairs! Definitely the stuff of nightmares. LOL!

I know... I'm not sure I understand why they were chosen...:confused3

I love the Boardwalk t-shirt -- so cute!

But the peppermint cupcake -- now that is something I could dream about happily!

Both were cute and the cupcake yummy...

Love your family photo at the Osborne Lights -- so cute! If you had your fourth family member, that would have been a great Christmas card pic! Maybe you could photoshop her in. LOL!

We thought about photoshopping her in somehow...;)

I so want our next trip to be at Christmas -- I am thinking that will be my plan in 2014.

It's such a great time... I know a lot of people can graciously manage the actual week between Christmas & New Year's... that still intimidates me a bit... but the week before ... depending on school schedules or such is great... up till about the 20th or 21st of December... it's low season but you still get all of the decor/events...:thumbsup2

Kali smells like Barbeque Chicken Day! :lmao::rotfl2: I am dying!!! I feel your pain at the drenching -- it ALWAYS happens to me!

David has a unique way of describing things... love him... they drenching... not so much...

You will appreciate this -- Connor said for his 21st birthday he wants to go to Monte Carlo to gamble. Want to come with us? :rotfl2:

I would love to come... actually... I can see Connor in Monte Carlo... probably winning too...:rotfl2: Could we stop by the Cote D'Azur as well...;)

Cracking up over your prayer to live on Everest!!! By the way, you MUST read Above All Things about the 1924 Everest expedition -- seriously, I am still in love with that book and I read it several weeks ago!

Yes well it is a bit scary... for me at least... I'm writing down (typing actually the book onto my phone) ...Love that kind of thing...

Another great Christmas photo with Goofy!

Yeay for riding Dinosaur -- that's one of our favorites!

Goofy makes a great alternative Santa & I was so happy David liked Dinosaur...

As far as DISing, when I do DIS, I like to do it every day. That hasn't happened lately though.

:lmao:Yes I think that's the best... but unfortunately that pesky thing called Real Life keeps getting in my way... So Rude of it...:rotfl:

The Dawa Bar is a bastion of grown-up happiness! One of my favorite places at Disney! Glad that you discovered it!

:cloud9:

I think I am caught up!!!

A million congrats to Em for her acceptance to John Hopkins! You must be so proud of her!

Thanks... Thrilled for her...

Can't wait to hear about Rome!!!

Neither can I...:lmao: Now I just have to write with some calmness and sanity...

I have unused Mickey Basin soap, too. Like you said, once it's gone, it's gone. :(

I know... I feel like a five year old hoarding some candy or something for a rainy day...

Love all the new Fantasyland pictures -- I can't wait to see it in person!

I get teary-eyed during the MK morning show, too -- you are not alone. :rotfl:

Well that makes me feel better... It's nice to have the sentimental company...:goodvibes

I am DYING to go to BOG. Love your T, it is stunning on you!

GO... it's a great experience and thanks about the tee... TrenD... and I really like it myself...:goodvibes

BOG looks like such a fun experience!! Glad you enjoyed your meal there

Congratulations to Emily!! What exciting news!! :goodvibes

OMG Sarah... You will totally love BOG... run don't walk the next time you get the chance...:goodvibes Thanks about Ems...:)

Congratulations to Emily! How exciting!
Welcome home and hope you had a very Happy Easter!

Thanks Alysa on both counts... and I hope your Easter was happy as well!

Congrats on the college acceptance! :cool1: It is so nice to just know and start looking forward to all that college has to offer! How far is JH from you??

I am really glad they whole college search is done... it's been very stressful and has pretty much turned into a competitive sport... it's all gotten a bit out of control I'm afraid... but I'm really happy with the results for her...:goodvibes... Johns Hopkins is in a corner of Baltimore so it's about 90 miles/2 hours away... Eric could probably do it in an 1 1/2 hours...;) if he felt he needed to get there to save her from something...(think the movie College Road Trip...It's disturbingly relevant to our family...;)

And....WOW, I will definitely be trying to get in for lunch at BOG. I don't think the dinner menu looks that great (too fancy for us), but lunch looks wonderful!

I thought lunch was awesome... and it's so fun to see them track you down via your rose...:thumbsup2

Getting all caught up! Hope you are doing well and had a great time in Rome.

Great time thanks...:goodvibes

Never been to Raglan Road. Food looks great. Will definitely have to give it a try.

Raglan Road is a really convivial place... I totally recommend it...:thumbsup2

I love walking in the MK. It is the best feeling ever! I want to retire to Florida and stand on Main Street each morning with a big Mickey hand waving as guests come in. That is my dream job! :)

LOL... that would be pretty awesome helping make all those people's dreams come true...& I'd love to have a legit excuse to just hang out on Main Street.../SIZE]

Glad you enjoyed Fantasyland. It was my favorite part of our last trip. The details are great and we too loved Be Our Guest. It is magical at night.

I can imagine it would be stunning at night...:goodvibes

I too can't wait for the Mine Train to open. Already thinking of when we will go in 2014 to enjoy it!!!

I know... I've been thinking about that too...:scratchin

I ate lunch at Be Our Guest a couple of weeks ago. Our food was just okay. The fries were cold when they got to us, but we didn't say anything. The building itself is nicely done. It's nice that you can have that 'castle experience' for a reasonable price. :thumbsup2

That's a shame about the fries...:worried: the ones that came with David's steak sandwich were hot... so maybe that was a bad day for them... The building is nicely done... you get that castle experience without the Cinderella Castle prices...;) and if you have a Belle fan... you simply can't do better...

The Counter Service really is a great selection... nothing else like it in the MK... Our line wasn't too bad... I'm assuming that the lines should calm a bit after the novelty of the open... at least I hope so...:rolleyes2:rolleyes2 The buzzer is super cool... it's like a tracker and the CMs bringing your food locate you via the rose...:goodvibes

Caught up on your TR.

Great review of BOG, I can't wait to see it myself in June. I also agree I like your snow white shirt.

Congrats to EM!

:goodvibes

Thanks on both Em & the the shirt...

June isn't that far away at this point...:goodvibes

BoG looked very cool, nice pics - even if I had to turn my head a bit for a couple of them ;-] The food sounded great too. That rose to let you know you're food is ready is a very nice touch.

Photobucket was giving me a migraine that day...::yes::

We'll have to give the place a try on a future trip!

:thumbsup2

Thank you very much for following along with my TR, kinda sad to have it finished :P Ah well, there's always the next trip!

Your TR was really great... lots of fun...It is sad that it has to come to an end...:worried:

I'm looking forward to seeing those Disney Classics you were referring to and I hope you Splash experience was a good one! :goodvibes

Hmmm... Splash is kind of my nemesis... honestly it may be the most frightening ride experience at Disney for me... I think I'm Splash phobic...:rolleyes2
