Quickest way -MGM to Magic Kingdom?

There might be a direct bus, but if not, just hop on the bus to the Contemporary Resort, and it's a short walk from there.

No there is no boat from MGM to MK.

The official way to get there is to catch the MK/TTC bus which will drop you off at the TTC. THen you must take the ferry or monorail to the MK. On average, I bet this is also the fastest way.

You could do as Mark suggests but I think in most cases the MK bus will run more often than the CR bus. Once you get to the CR you will have a 10 minute or so walk to the MK.

The boat at MGM goes first to the EPCOT area resorts, and then to the Intl. Gateway entrance to EPCOT. It doesn't go to MK.

The fastest way is to take the bus from MGM to MK.

If time isn't that important to you, you could take the boat to EPCOT, ride some stuff in EPCOT, and work your way to the front of EPCOT, then take the monorail from there to the TTC, then hop on the MK monorail from there. But this is not, and I repeat NOT, a quick way to MK. It's just an option if you want to stop at EPCOT and walk around before heading on to MK.

Just a quick FYI - the direct bus from MGM to the MK does NOT drop you at the TTC - it goes directly to the bus depot at MK where all the resort buses drop off. No need to take a boat or monorail to the gate!

When did this change take place? It wasn't this way in November.

It was this way last October for us. It's been a long time since MK buses stopped at the TTC, at least on a regular basis. The only buses that regularly stop now at the TTC, if I recall correctly, are buses from SOG. The TTC has pretty much become a place where car drivers park for MK, or for an intermodal switch from one monorail to another monorail, monorail to ferry boat, etc.

Whenever we took the bus to MK from another park, it always dropped us off at the bus stops in front of MK, pretty much where the resort buses dropped us off.

Editing to say: I DO think that late at night when MK closes that they might switch the MK bus stop to the TTC. But before all that late traffic jam of closing, they use the bus stops right in front of MK.

Offsite hotels and most non-Disney onsite hotels (SoG and the DTD hotels) drop off their passengers at the TTC. Unless it's a recent change buses from other theme parks also drop off at TTC.

I won't dispute that offsite resorts drop off at TTC. That makes sense.

However, in all my travels in the last several years from other Disney parks to MK, we've been dropped off at the front of MK, next to the resort bus stops.

We didn't take a bus to the TTC/MK on our trip last month and I don't think we did in October either. But when we have taken the buses from AK or MGM to the TTC they certainly did not go to the MK entrance directly. In fact, when we take those buses it is usually to get back to the Polynesian when we are in Rapa Nui. We catch whichever comes first...TTC/MK or Polynesian.

Where's Tyler? :rotfl2:
