Any one know the quickest way from MGM to Epcot? My husband wants to hit 'early day' at MGM but we have breakfast plans at Norway. It might be doable as we have the latest seating....

We will have a rental car so that is an option....

Thank you!

The quickest way is to take your car. 20-25 minutes from turnstyle to turnstyle. Get through turnstyle in 5 minutes. 10-15 minute walk to Norway.

The next quickest is to walk. Takes about 25 minutes if you cut through the BWI pool area to get to the IG turnstyle. 15 minute walk to Norway (go by way of Canada NOT France, it is shorter).

If the bus to Epcot is just about ready to leave, it will be faster than the car. BUT if the bus is just pulling in, take the car. The bus sometimes sits there for 5-10 minutes waiting for passengers.

Thank you for the ideas, Ed...

One thing - Cast member told me that I should take the boat from MGM to Epcot, that the boat would bring me to the Int'l Gateway, and be the quickest way.

Whatcha think???

The boat makes a lot of stops on the way. If you are fit, and don't have children walking with you, walking is faster.

If you have a car...i would suggest driving to the BWI or YC/BC and park there. From that point it is a short walk to the IG and you can walk around to Norway. I think that is the quickest from MGM to Norway

As someone who has stayed at BWV, please do not do this. There is a sign in front of the Boardwalk saying theme park parking is not permitted there. It's very frustrating when you are staying at a hotel and cannot find a parking space because others have parked there who shouldn't be. We've had rooms facing the parking lot and there is a steady stream of people pushing strollers in the morning when only Spoodles is open and a steady stream out after Illuminations.

My vote is for walking, we stay at BW and the walk is not bad. You will definatly be faster than the boat. And I would bet on the walkers over the car!

You might just take a look when leaving MGM to see if there is a boat at the dock or approaching the dock. If you can catch it, the boat will at least get you to the Swan/Dolphin or to the Boardwalk (can't remember the order of stops). Would cut the walk in half, at least. It isn't clear where you're staying, so if you're off-site, it depends on where you want your car to end up. If you'll be returning to MGM later in the day, you might consider the walk/boat approach. If you will be finishing your day at Epcot, you may as well drive. If you're on-site, you might not want the hassle of driving around.

I like taking the boat from MGM to the Swan/Dolphin, then walking over the Boardwalk to Epcot's International Gateway. The walk should only be about 10 minutes from S/D to Epcot. If the boat isn't at the MGM dock, you might just want to walk the whole way--about 25 minutes to Ecpot. The bus to Epcot may not be bad, but I'm not sure how often it shows up.

if you're at the Villas jsut take the boat back to your hotel and walk, it's a very short walk to the IG
