Quicken vs Quickbooks

I use this program for both our home and small business recordkeeping. I used Quicken for years, then switched over to Quickbooks a few years ago, but still really don't like it. For those of you who are using one or the other, do you like it? Why or why not?

We use both. Quicken for personal and Quickbooks for the business. Quickbooks makes all the taxes, job tracking (expenses) and payroll so much easier for business. Quicken we just use as basically a checkbook and online bill payment center with reminders. It's pretty much basic but Quickbooks is amazing. We both got certified on it about 10 years ago (2 day class) and have used it for about 15. I can do payroll, pay bills, taxes, update employee files on the road. Could not live without it! Learn to take advantage of all the features. BTW, we just kept playing with it and were self taught. Now we can do more with it than our accountants.

Sigh, that's what I was afraid of, that I'd need to stick with Quickbooks. I obviously need to bone up on how to use it more/better! I just wish there was one product that I could use for both home and business...

I use Quickbooks for both personal and work and LOVE it!

For my personal finances it's a bit of overkill and I don't use most of the features but it has made budgeting the household so much simpler! Now if I can just get my boss to double my salary I'll be all set financially!
