Hi! Just got home from a wonderful eight nights at POFQ!! Yes, Memorial Weekend was crowded...even more so than I expected. We got up with the sun each morning, though, and we managed to get a lot done. Did a few EMH mornings, but no evenings...haven't heard great things here about them and we're not late-night people anyway. Talked to a few people coming in at 3 a.m. this morning from MK as we were checking out to come home. They said it was crowded for awhile but thinned out.

POFQ was perfect for us. Our first on-site stay and we will NEVER stay off-site again! WOW!!

ME was flawless for us both ways. Only bothersome thing was that they picked us up at 3 a.m. for a 6 a.m. flight home - no negotiating with them on that. Considered a cab, but decided one hour of sleep wasn't worth $55!!

I am going to go the store as the girls are requesting something to eat besides dry cereal and pop tarts!! I will be so happy to answer any questions! What a super week! :flower: Thanks to everyone here for the awesome advice along the way!! :wave2:

Hiya

Glad you had a fab time! It is funny you were checking out at 3am and some people were just getting in!

Glad to hear ME worked out great, I had heard some bad comments. Looks like they have worked things out there. So they pick you up 3 hours prior to flight time? Were you on the dining plan? Any restaurants recommendations?

Yes, on the ME pick-up time. I requested a later time and there was no flexibility on that at all! ME was awesome, though. We were in our resort room within 1 hr and 10 minutes of landing in Orlando. Luggage was in the room exactly two hours later.

We ate at Chef Mickey's for the first time and really enjoyed it - the kids went crazy over the ice cream bar and I'll admit I did too! Le'Cellier was VERY good - would love to eat there again. We also did Rainforest - o.k. we have one practically down the street from us, but we never eat there. The kids liked it alot, we could do without! Cindy's breakfast was alot of fun, but we didn't feel the magic like we did two years ago...felt rushed and didn't get a lot of enthusiasm from the princesses like we did before. My family likes Sci-Fi for the atmosphere and the burgers and shakes. I know lots of people don't like it, but we do and weren't disappointed this time...everything we ordered was good and our car-hop was awesome. Other than that we ate mostly counter service which was exactly what we expected! Lots of yummy benieghs (Still can't spell that!) and homemade cookies at POFQ.

Thanks for the reply. We are eating at CRT breakfast and Sci-Fi for the first time this trip. I hope CRT is magical and worth the effort. Sci-Fi looks like an adventure just for the atomsphere and we will be at Chef Mickey's our first night for dinner. We did enjoy this dinner before and sounds like it is still great!

Hi again! At Sci-Fi, stick with burgers, onion rings, shakes, and other "50's" food. I was surprised to get there at dinner time and the menu only had pastas, chicken, etc. and NO BURGERS!!! I asked and we were able to have the good stuff with no problem! Looking around, I noticed many people doing the same thing...guess they want you to spend more money at dinner time?

I am not meaning to be negative about CRT at all! I really think that since we had done it before and my girls are getting older (now 9 and 11 but big Cinderella and Belle fans!) it wasn't so "WOW" this time. For your first time there you will most definitely feel the "WOW" ...I'll never forget our first time climbing the staircase and entering the room!

HAVE FUN!! :flower:

Can I ask you another question about CRT? I have it booked for next week for DH, myself and DSD13. Even though she's not at that "Princess obsessed" age will she still enjoy it?
I really want to book it just for the fact it's in the castle and it's such a hard ticket to get. It's like winning the darn lottery! :goodvibes
DH wanted to eat there because of the location.... I just wanted an opinion since you have girls that are a little older and maybe not in "total princess mode" anymore.
Thanks!! Glad you had a great time! :earsboy:
ps I like the Sci-Fi dine in, too. I think the atmosphere and bugers/shakes are GREAT!

Thanks for the info on the MME. You eased my mind.

We love Sci-fi to. We eat there every time we go. My girls love to sit in the cars and eat.

You'll all love it...it's so special up there! I'll bet she enjoys posing with the princesses as much as my girls do...who knows, you may get the elusive Peter Pan to spice things up!!! We got Wendy, which we thought was cool! She kept arguing with Alice in Wonderland!
ENJOY! :flower:
