Quick Trip, Quick Fix, Quick Service! -Final Thoughts QSDP/Complete 8/25

Thanks for the update, Sunshine Season is one of the best CS in Disney. My family can always find something good here.

I had the tuna salad in February, it was great! I love Sunshine Seasons, it's a must-do every trip!

This is the first time I've actually tried the salad! I love ahi tuna, so I'm not sure what took me so long!

I agree, there are so many good options here! My Mom & I are big fans of the kids meals when we go usually. (Actually, I get a lot of kids meals at CS places when I'm not on the DP!) They have one with Mac & Cheese and one with a chicken leg, mashed potatoes, & carrots. Awesome options IMO!

I am happy I found your review with photos, the photos look so good. I am trying to resist changing to Chefs from GFC. I figure I can save it for my next trip.

Definitely subbing. There aren't that many QSDP reviews, and yours is great! :thumbsup2 We're looking into this plan instead of the regular plan because the DDP went up $7 for the "peak seasons" :scared1:

I had the hardest time trying to find people who had used the QSDP when I decided to add it to my package on this past trip. Glad I can be helpful!!

Love your reviews...thanks!

Thanks for joining! :flower3:

Love the reviews so faar- everything you've had (and even the things you didn't have at Starring Rolls ;)) looks delish :thumbsup2

I would have had one of those apple pastries from starring rolls - my mouth is watering right now just thinking about it - yummo

I kind of wanted one of the cupcakes, but my brother didn't want something that sweet :sad2: And since I wasn't really up for not splitting something, we went with the cinnamon bun. Everything looked so yummy though!!! popcorn::

Haven't caught up yet.. just stopping to say hi and to sub! :goodvibes

EDIT:::
I'm all caught up! Your Chef's review is great. I have looked at the menu before and wasn't too impressed. If I ate there I would probably order exactly what you did! (LOL about you doing a dance with Remy!!!!)

We love Sunshine Seasons. There are so many choices there..... you can keep everyone happy!

I actually had a hard time deciding what I wanted, so many things looked good. But I have a thing for french food. :snooty: (<--he's French, can you tell?)

Next up: Columbia Harbor House!

For how many times I've gone to WDW, there are a few places I've yet to try. Columbia Harbor House was on the "list." We skipped breakfast this morning because let's face it, we ate a lot the day before! Neither of us were particularly hungry. But when 10:30 rolled around, we were starving. Instead of grabbing a snack, we decided we'd just wait until 11 and hit an early lunch. Since we had time to play with, I pulled out my iTouch and gave my brother some guidance to pick a place to eat. We settled on Columbia Harbor House and slowly made our way over.

A little after 11, our plan unfolded perfectly and we ducked inside to the sweet, sweet air conditioning :cold:

Now, my brother and I were cracking up over their menu. You could get 6 chicken breast nuggets, 8 chicken breast nuggets, 4 chicken breast nuggets with fried fish...not just chicken nuggets mind you, they were specific on the kind of nuggets you were going to receive, and exactly how many!

I had seen on the Dining Review page right before we left a shrimp platter. But I didn't see it on the menu...noooooooooo :sad1: But wait! What's that?! A little sign above the registers? Fried Shrimp Combo Platter?! Woo! Alright, we're in business. It came with fried shrimp, fries, and cole slaw. I really wasn't in the mood for fries, but the CM informed me that there were no subs. Oh well. My brother got the combo with chicken breast nuggets (not just chicken nuggets!) and fried fish. He wanted fries... Wait a minute! So I had a brilliant idea. (I know, I'm so smart, don't be jealous!) He took my fries, and he ordered apples! YUM! For dessert he chose the strawberry yogurt (boring!) and I got the apple "crisp." ...apparently I wanted apples. Don't judge :snooty: He got a sweetened Raspberry Ice Tea to drink and I got a Diet Coke.

Here's what our glorious food looked like:

We got our condiments...really liked the choices here. Tarter sauce, malt vinger, etc. Idk why, but I was pleased. I'm easy to please, what can I say? My brother went to go find a table and I headed for the stairs to go to the second level. I called to him "up here little brother." "We can go up there?" "Oh yes we can!" "You sure?" "You dare doubt me?" "True." :chat: :worship:

There was no one upstairs. Just as I expected (ummm, thanks DIS!) We grabbed a nice seat by the window and dug in.

For CS fried shrimp, these little buggers were delicious! The cole slaw was alright, but I'm currently trying to persuade myself that I do like cole slaw, so I wouldn't exactly trust my word on that either. I enjoyed my apples too. They were nice and crisp. I initially started by dipping my shrimp in the cocktail sauce provided, but I thought it was a little strong, so I switched to tarter sauce. There is a condiment bar on the 2nd floor.

My brother enjoyed his chicken breast nuggets & fish. He said the fish was well cooked. Sometimes that's hard for a sit-down place to do, so kuddos to CHH. He also ate all my/his fries. He then went for his yogurt. It's just standard yogurt, nothing to write home about, but he enjoyed it all the same.

My apple thing was very yummy. It looks different to me than what I've seen in other people's reports. Perhaps they've changed it? It was served warm, which really brought out the apple and cinnamon. I didn't finish it as it was rather heavy. If it was a cooler day in February, it'd be a great dessert! It was still pretty tasty.

All in all, I really enjoyed CHH. It had a great selection for something different. I'd go back here again in a heartbeat!!

Thanks for the update! Chicken breast nuggets :lmao: They are actually tiny from the looks of the picture.

I love CHH, but I've never seen a shrimp platter there before. Looks pretty good. And the upstairs eating is the way to go:thumbsup2

I like CHH but I never saw the shrimp platter or my husband would get that. thanks for the update.

Another one surprised by shrimp at CHH!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

Just to answer as a group :rotfl: I didn't know about it until about 2 days before I left, so don't feel left out!!! And as I mentioned, it was a little sign above the register. I was really excited by the shrimp, and they were tasty little buggers!!!

Wow fried shrimp, finally! I hope they still have that in Oct, we love fried shrimp!

When we were in Epcot, at the American Pavillion, the CS place there had a little sign by the registers that offered boneless buffalo strips...wasnt on the regular menu and the sign wasnt very noticable either.......

Yeah, it sounds like that's the same kind of sign that CHH had. I hope they make it a permanent addition!!
