Quick Trip, Quick Fix, Quick Service! -Final Thoughts QSDP/Complete 8/25

Love your Chefs de France review. I secretly made a ressie for DH and I here for lunch on our last day (before we fly home to Rochester - I think we have the same flights leaving at 7am and arriving around 9:30am in Orlando - so it was good to get your timeline to. Our flight home is at 6:30pm). I have already decided on ordering the exact same thing you had so it was good to see the bisque, the mac n cheese and the profiteroles! I'm even more glad to hear you liked it!:goofy:

Yummo. That chocolate ice cream thingy looks sooo good. Thanks for this review. We are trying France this year for the first time because of Remy. Is the price fix menu for dinner also? Is it the same menu?

Nice review.

Yum!! Your Chefs de France pics are great!!!! Can't wait to try this restaurant in October!

Great update...My husband and I love Chefs de France. I was joking with him today, if I should add it to our places to eat...his answer is yes and make 3 ADR (I said I'll make a lunch ADR and there is too many places to eat there) but he said he wants 2 things to eat so he can't make up his mind so I might have to make an ADR for lunch and dinner (2 different days...I really wanted to try LeCellier but he said no ...he does not eat red meat and he said we can try California Grill)...Thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures...I'm enjoying your reviews.

Loving your reviews. I think we are going to try Chefs during our trip in January.

Thanks for taking the time to review. I wish I could take a quick trip but alas I have to wait until Oct.

I was in the 3rd row of the plane and I booked it off the plane (easy to do when you know the airport and you're moving solo.) I noticed that the family in front of me arrived at ME about 5 minutes after I did, so I'm not sure the booking off the plane helped...maybe if there was a bus waiting :) If you're on the same flight back, ME wanted to pick me up at 3:15, but my Mom took me back to the airport. It's a great flight!!

Everything was soooo yummy!!!

I know they have a price fix menu at dinner, but I think it's more expensive (because it's dinner) and slightly different choices. I don't know exactly what it is though.

Thanks! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

The dessert looks so yummy
It was!!

Oh, I'd take Chefs de France over Le Cellier anyday...but that's just my personal preference.

My theory on fancy restaurants: go for lunch...never as fancy then!! And remember Chefs isn't a signature and it's in a theme park...so it's definitely not that fancy! It's a nice experience, don't get me wrong, but I think it's far from fancy. Go, enjoy, eat up! popcorn::

Haha...that's what I did when I saw MickeyNicki's review...ok, how do I get myself there?! I'm glad I went. Depending on what other places you have booked, I might recommend exchanging it if you can!

Our only ADR is LeCellier. My bf is kinda picky about food but I did book an ADR for Chefs and I'll cancel one of them before we leave. I just showed him you're pics and he wants to see the rest of the menu first so I think we'll go on allears and look at the menu and see what he thinks!!

I love that you got to dance with Remy. Only in Disneyworld can dancing with a rat be fun.:rotfl:

Exactly 2 weeks from today, and I'll be eating at Chefs!!!:cool1: Love your reviews and can't wait to try that dessert! Every time I see a photo in a review, I start drooling!!

Ahhhh, looks so good! None of the entrees really are my thing, but the soups and desserts-HELLO!! Plus Remy. How stinkin' adorable. I love that you danced with him, what a great moment!!

I can't wait to read your review as you eat your way around the world. :woohoo:

Welcome!

Up next: Sunshine Seasons!

I had every intention of eating in the World Showcase for dinner. Honestly, I did. But then I started thinking of the places around the WS that were actually air conditioned...Yakatori House (Japan), Liberty Inn (America), and Lotus Blossom Cafe (China.) And well, none of those really sounded appetizing. I really wanted Tangierene Cafe, but I'd have to eat outside and that was just not going to happen. So we settled on Sunshine Seasons. A) It was air conditioned :cool1: And B) It had plenty of options!

Here's our tray of food:

I had the ahi tuna salad, the strawberry shortcake, & the bottle of water. I wasn't overly hungry since we had such a big lunch, so the salad sounded wonderful. It was quite tasty. I think it could have used more dressing (I think this is starting to be a common theme...) but the tuna was delicious and overall it really hit the spot. Plus, it was a lot healthier for me than what I had at lunch. At least until I got to the dessert :rotfl: I had seen the shortcake posted on here a number of times, so I knew as soon as we settled on Sunshine Seasons what I was getting for dessert. It didn't disappoint. I mean, it's not exactly a true shortcake, but it was tasty! And that's all I really care about.

My brother had the chicken with rice and potatoes. He ate everything on that plate. Seriously...I didn't come close to finishing my salad, I have no idea where he puts that food, he's not a big guy! One of my Mom's favorite dishes here is the kid's meal chicken, so this overall dish is a big hit in my family. He took some soy sauce for his rice because he finds the rice to be a little dry (he's had this before!) But overall he said it was as tasty as ever! For dessert he had some kind of apple cinnamon crumb cake. I tried a bite, it was really tasty. Though it was very dense. Because I wasn't that hungry when we sat down to eat, I was glad I got the shortcake. It was a lot lighter. But the crumb cake was good too, just a little more filling! He also got milk as his beverage. He says it cools you down better than water :confused3 Ehhhhh okay...

And I think you can tell how hot & tired we were here:

After dinner we headed towards the WS for a stroll and to get some tasty beverages.

We stopped at the UK first:

My brother got a black & tan. We headed to France next. I got a grey goose slushie, but it was so hot still that it melted before I could even set it down and take a picture of it!!

So this is from my trip in February. Pretend it's dusk and that it's a little more melted :rotfl:
