Hi,

Can anyone point me in the direction of something, a chart for instance, that might give me an idea of what the plan entitles you to on a daily basis ie a main (what could that be), a snack and so on...

Any help would be greatly appricated :thumbsup2

hi there is lots of info over on the main restaurant board section.

There have been a couple of really good reviews in the reviews section recently from people doing qsdp so you can see the wide variety of food available.

Basically you get a main meal or a combo eg burger and chips and a drink and dessert.

If you are not sure just ask when you order.

It is not just burgers and chips eg at wolfgang puck express at DTD you can get a $17 salmon meal, a $5 creme brulee and a drink for 1 quick service credit - served on a real plate, drink refils.

We did our second trip on Quick Service Dining in October this year. I don't eat burgers, hot dogs, etc and was never short of food. If you want to go through my Trip Report (link in my signature) there are some photos in there, including WPE as mentioned above. It is not a full on dining review, but you can get an idea.

Hi Although we did the normal DDP whe
n we had our quick service there was loads to choose from ( our boys 5,5,8 way preferred quick dining with just a few meals compared to proper tanle service everyday).
A few example is
Chicken Salad plus a desert like cookie and drink
Chicken breast nugget ( there is no diffrence between a adult quick service and a childs so if you have any children I would always order the adult chicken breast meal rather then the kids as its way better chicken!
A african stew in a bread bowl with cheese cake for desert and drink
all your Hot dogs Burgers etc with fries
At Caseys Hot dog in Magic Kingdom you can get Candy floss as your desert side :)
Pittas with salad and a fruit cup as yur desert ..side
Soup in some places also you can get a salad as a side instead of fries with any of your meals
BBq pork rib sandwich
Turkey legs
Please be aware that your nack can be pretty much anything that is under $4 we never knew this the 1st yr we went and we hardly used any snacks as the boys didnt need ice cream or pop corn when they had a desert with every meal,
Then this yr we bought home about 20 of the big lollipops bags of Disney jelly sweets candy floss buckets Jelly bean bags etc ( kids gave loads to their friends) and we used quite a few snacks on breakfast items as ith breakfast you can get 2 drinks or a drink and a snack
or as a snack you can get a fruit cup so we did this and saved loads on breakfast
Hope you have a fab time I dont go back for another 18 months :sad1:

Just thought I would mention that as of January 2011, breakfast counter service only comes with one drink. Fine if you are at your resort and have your refillable mug, or have excessive credits to use up, but otherwise not a good use of a CS credit - particularly if you are paying for your dining plan.

Sorry, just to add, are two meals a day generally enough or will I be looking at buying a 3rd meal?

It depends on the structure of your party, appetites and eating habits. Using a snack for breakfast and the meals for lunch and dinner worked fine for us. I find the portions much larger than what I would usually eat and ample to share. This year several times we ordered a CS breakfast to share, ate a meal each for lunch/dinner and shared a meal and a snack for the other one.

Is it 2 adults or are you a family?

What also works really well, since we don't usually eat dessert, wherever we could we got fruit pots for dessert, preferably at dinner time and put them in our resort fridge for breakfasts. We usually eat fruit for breakfast so this was normal for us. However many folk will grab a pastry for dessert and save it up for brekkie the next morning.

We were those people who on occasions were eating our desert for breakfast. Nothing says I'm on holiday like carrot cake at 8am :rotfl2:

Oh carrot cake is perfectly acceptable ;) Try getting up at 6; if you eat it before sunrise the calories don't count :rotfl:

I was actually referring to the pastries - I just can't do that first thing in the morning. Although on our last day we did have a decadent looking cupcake for breakfast. ;)

Remember you don't have to use all your credits at the same time eg if there are 3 of you, you can order 2 meals between you and share freeing up some credits for later.
