We had gotten a room here via Priceline for $120. I had been on the grounds before but never stayed there. We were upgraded to a room overlooking the lake with a distant view of the MK fireworks. The room was comfortable and fairly quiet and GREEN! Man was that a colorful room and a bit frilly. It was fine though I would prefer a different kind of decore. The grounds are awesome and beautiful with lots of stuff to do and the service was excellent. I generally stay at the Disney Resorts but wouldn't hesitate to do a few days here.

Thanks for the review. When were you there? That seems a bit high of a rate for Priceline.

Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress has extensive reviews over at TripAdvisor & is one of their highest-rated Orlando resorts - #2 last time I looked. (Average price of its rooms is close to $300). It is practically the only non-Disney hotel we stay at when we go to WDW.
The resort fee includes: Executive 3-putt golf, sailboats, paddleboats, daily newspaper, biking, childrens's activities (like at Halloween they have some trick or treating and they also have a regularly scheduled 'Smores roast at the Campfire on the lake's beach plus other stuff), surrey bikes...I mean, this place must have over 1,000 acres - it's HUGE. If you have a horse-riding nut in your family, they have world-class boarding facilities and lessons. If you have a golfing nut in the family, they have at least two full courses, one of which Jack Nicklaus designed. Their La Coquina Sunday Brunch is considered one of the best (and, yes, it is expensive) in Orlando, with the following...various kinds of sushi, made-to-order hot entrees, bountiful salads, luscious desserts, incredible fresh fruits, several kinds of caviar...I just asked my DD what all they had there and she said "Everything...the question isn't what do they have, Mom, it's what do they *not* have?!?"

If you can, their Concierge(I think it's called Club Level) is wonderful, with varied offerings for breakfast and in the evenings. Their staff has always been polite, professional and go out of their way to do their best.

Can you tell I like it here :teeth: ?

agnes!
PS - I know that my post might sound like an ad, but I don't work for Hyatt...I'm just a happy and satisfied repeat guest of this particular resort.

I thought I had gotten a good deal. When I reasearched it the rooms went from $250 - $350 per night so $120 was fine. I know some people get it for less than $100 but I am not one of those who has to find the absolute lowest price or I feel like I have been ripped off. :)

WHat did you put into priceline for the hyatt? I was nervouse about doing it because I want a villa with a seprerate bedroom istead of a regular hotel room. Thanks

they Hyatt is the hotel - you are probably thinking about Grand Cypress

this site
http://www.grandcypress.com/

they are not the same.

You want a condo - separate rooms - then look here

www.skyauction.com

you are looking for a 2-bedroom or 1-bedroom - so only look at the 7 days only one.

go find another posts on skyauction.

if you don't want to bid then try this
www.condodirect.com

both are for week stays only!!!

or you can rent points from a DVC owner and stay on site at WDW.

i won this hotel on priceline for $50 and was really nice, especially at that price! they even put in an extra bed for no extra charge, so we had 3 beds in total, and in the distance from our balcony we could see he castle, space mountain and the contemporary reasort!

If you get a pool-view room, as a bonus you can see the fireworks from Epcot and from Magic Kingdom in the distance.

agnes!
