Just wondered if anyone has had seats 36H,J,K on the Manchester flight recently and if so what were they like for location and noise??

Thanks Miffy2003 i thought someone would be able to help but so far nothing!! (must all be Christmas shopping or something)
I think that the plane will be seated by priority, correct me if I'm wrong we have not flown with VA before, but they may seat those at the rear of the plane and work forwards row by row?? I hope this will not take long as our DS (soon to be 7) is a complete fidget monster at the moment although once airborne he should be fine. :coffee:
Just wondering if there will be any decent meal choices left by the time the cabin crew gets to us I have booked a kids meal for DS out bound and return so there may be something for him to eat (will pack snacks just in case). :rolleyes1
If anyone has an idea of how noisy it can be near these seats could they please let me know so I can bring some ear plugs :thumbsup2

They do seat from the back of the plane first yes.

I know the last time we flew Economy we were in row 25 which are bulkhead seats with the engines just behind us (I think)....

see below for seating plans for 747-400 LGW/MAN

We always pre-book row 37, because there is nobody to kick your seat behind you :rotfl: I don't think there is much to choose between any of the seats in Economy - in the years before i had found the DIS i never pre-booked or really cared where we sat.....the only seats that i can honestly say that i prefer are the ones at the back (Row 60?) but for some reason we only book those for on the way home :confused3

Anyone sat in row 48 with the crew seats directly behind, can you recline much. As they are near the galley will you get fed first? Can you change you mind once you have selected and chosen seats or are you stuck with them. Thanks

:thumbsup2 Thanks JohnnySharp2 that site is good :thumbsup2 There were very few seats left to choose from when we selected ours and it seems we'll be getting the full "economy experience " again then :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I'll definitely pack a couple of pairs of earplugs and a few extra things for DS to keep him quiet :goodvibes :goodvibes

Glad to help. :)

Check out SeatGuru.com- you can see which are the good and bad seats...
it has every airline.

Hope this helps.

That's also a good site, it told us was storage and leg room are limited :confused3 then again which seats in economy are not limited in some way :confused3 oh well better take the old Ipod and some word puzzles etc to help keep calm and not get stressed out.
Shall not be taking a lot of hand luggage between the 3 of us so hopefully space it will not be an issue. :goodvibes Just as well we are not tall :goodvibes

You can carry on changing your mind as much as you like, but bear in mind the choice reduces the longer you leave it as others nab the "good" seats :thumbsup2 If you see one you want I would grab it now while you can :)

Hi
we sat infront of the stewards and the seats do not recline at all and no you don't get served first. They do offer you a choice of the menu prior to serving the food so we got what we wanted anyway. Its good that you have noone behind you but when we flew last november it was snowing and whislt the doors were still open the snow was blowing in and my seat was all wet.The crew were great and gave me some blankets to sit on.The plane was full so I couldn't sit anywhere else.
