Hi again, everyone! Just wondering if anyone knows if we could bring Gamecube with us and hook it up easily at the DVC properties... We'll probably be staying at VWL and would like to know if they have the inputs for Gamecube on the TVs in studio accommodations...

Thanks, in advance, for letting me know,

Two year's ago my DS's could not hitch their game cube up at the VWL (we let them bring it because it was Christmas and one of their gifts was a Game Cube Game) but could when we switched to the BCV. The VWL didn't have the plugs on the TV for the red, white and yellow wires. You would need to bring an adapter so you can run it through the cable attachment. I don't know the technical terms for the various plugs but I know what they do. I'm also not sure if all TV's are alike. But the TV at the BCV had the proper plugs on the TV.

A few people on the resorts board said they didn't have a problem at the resorts -- they just brought that adapter and were set. Do you think the TVs could have been updated since 2003?? Maybe only the newer resorts/DVC properties have newer TVs, though... UGH, now I'm confused!! Has anyone been to VWL more recently than HBC and tried to hook up Gamecube??? Any additional info. would be appreciated! :)

Take care,

I think I said about the same thing. If I had an adapter, I would have been okay but didn't bring one with me. At the newer BCV, the TV didn't need an adapter to use the Game Cube so you are probably right about the newer tv's.

... When I read the part about having to use the adapter through the cable attachment, I thought you meant that it wouldn't plug into the TV, which was what other people had said on the resorts board... I was asking the question for friends of ours who will be coming with us on the trip, and I'm not exactly familiar with the intricacies of all things Gamecube -- LOL!! Thanks for your patience! :)

If they have both kinds of plugs and/or adapters, they should be okay. Hoepfully you'll be so busy that the kids won't need the Game Cube anyway. Have a great trip.

We'll be going with 2 other families with 2 kids each, so it will be a lot of fun, I hope! The idea of bringing the Gamecube came up beacuse one night during our visit the adults will be going out to dinner at California Grill and will be leaving the oldest 2 kids in charge of the younger 4 and wanted something for them to do in the room! I'm sure we'll be wayyyyyy too busy for Gamecube, Gameboy or any other electronic distraction during the rest of the trip (except maybe the flights down and back)... :)

Thanks again,
