Hello everyone!

In august I’ll be in Disneyworld for my first solo trip in 10 years :D

I have my reservation in Disneyworld at All star music from the 3rd of August, but, since I found a great deal on a flight, I’ll leave on the 2nd of august and arrive in Mco at 1am.

I have some ideas, but I’m not sure what could be best:
- I can book one extra night at ASM, it’s not that expensive and It could be easier and convenient (but I guess that I’ll be there like at 3 am in the morning 😵‍💫)

-I could book one night in the Hyatt regency in Mco, no fuss and I would be straight in my room, but it’s quite expensive compared to the all star…

-I can look for another hotel in the area for one night, maybe near to a Publix or some place where the morning after I can buy some groceries (usually I use garden grocer, but could be a new experience xD). The only inconvenient would be taking a taxi both at my arrival and both the next morning.

I’m not really in a tight budget, splurging a bit is ok, but I’m debating myself on what would be more efficient and would make more sense (since I’ll be alone and I’ll be full of luggages, I’ll stay in Orlando two weeks).

Any recommendation is welcome :D
Thank you!

Personally, I'd stay at the Hyatt at MCO. Paying a little more at 1 am is worth it for me to get a little more sleep and then start the trip the next morning.

My vote goes to one check-in instead of two - hands down winner!

I’ve done the first night elsewhere a bunch of times at WDW, and it really made me appreciate how much nicer it is when you don’t have to move and check-in a second time.

Just imagine waking the first morning and not having to think about moving. You are already in your room and ready to start your trip! That part is so nice. Pair that with a grocery delivery.

Because otherwise you might not even get your ASM room until the afternoon. And stopping off for groceries in between rooms potentially opens the problem of what to do with the groceries. I would not prefer to check into one room at 3am, checkout and get groceries, arrive at ASM, need to bell check my luggage and groceries, then go back to get it, then get my room settled… vs the plan above. You’ll have everything squared away sooner with less steps required.

That my opinion anyway 😁

To add, I’m actually doing one night at BWV before moving to our more permanent room at VGF. But there are some other details that make it more acceptable to me this specific trip. For one, it was going to cost several hundred more dollars to add that Saturday night at VGF 1BR over BWV 1BR. Plus we’ll have a rental car. And my family will utilize Sat night and Sunday day at Epcot and HS.

But the tradeoffs don’t seem worth it in your case, where I’d much prefer to go directly to ASM.
