Quick pts and UY question

quick question on pts and UY. DH and just closed on our BWV and are already in the system. We are looking to make ressies for next May for our first trip home. We did a resale..we have 213 in our 2007 UY and all pts in subsequent UYs (which is Oct).

I can go ahead and make ressies and borrow against 08 UY if needed, correct? Or do I need to wait until Oct 07 to make the ressies?

You need to call now for your 11 month booking window for next May. The points will be taken out of the correct use year (which in this case will be your 2007 use year). WHEN you make the ressie is dependant on the check out date, not your use year. Your use year only determins WHICH points are used.

Your UY has nothing to do with when you can make reservations. That is based on the 11/7 month window. So you can make a reservation now for BWV in early May 08.

With an Oct UY, you are currently in your 06-07 UY, which runs from Oct 06 to Sept 07.

For a May 08 vacation, you will need to have enough points in your 07-08 UY to make the reservation. You can get those points based on banked points coming from the 06-07 UY, current points in the 07-08 UY and borrowed points 08-09 UY.
