Tying to decide on PH or no PH for a quick trip this July. Will only be in the parks 3.5 days and was thinking no PH and not doing AK. Next decision is 1.5 or 2 days of MK? We'd be relying on FastPass+ the half day (arrival day). Epcot has evening EMH that night or we'd do MK. Any news on Elsa and Anna and how long they're sticking around or if/when they'd move them to a different area? I'm sure DD would love to meet them, but not going to give up that much touring time to wait 2-3 hours...

4- No word.
3- MK.
2- See #3.
1- We nearly always park-hop... virtually every single day.

But YOU may not NEED to.
How do you know?
What should you do?

Simple:
You don't need to buy the "Hopper Option" UNLESS and UNTIL you need it.

If you are already at one park and decide that you'd like to "hop" to another... right then,
just walk up to a ticket window and pay the $57 (plus tax) per tix (its the same price whenever you choose to do it) and you're ready to hop (that day, and any others, for the rest of your trip.) You must make this and all other upgrade choices within the first 14 day of when the ticket was first used and no later than on the day that you use the ticket's last asset.

If you go and NEVER need to hop, don't buy the upgrade, and you can then spend all those "extra" bucks on more WDW souvenirs! :thumbsup2

BTW, if you want to add hopping to a ONE-DAY MYW ticket, the price for that is just $35, plus tax.

Touring in July can be crazy, very busy and very hot. When we toured in July 2010 it thunder stormed every day around 2 or 3 PM.

The best strategy for our family is to get up early, tour as much as possible with early morning EMH (except for AK) and then take a break and park hop to another non-EMH park and use FP+ for our evening touring.

We would take a mid-day break to get out of the worst crowds, heat and rain. Park hopping to a different non-EMH park helps avoid the crowds that stay at the morning EMH park.

Usually we are park hoppers, but that was before FastPass+ and usually when we have full days...we fly in around 10:15am, so I'm guessing we'll be at the resort and settled into our room around noon? That's why I figured we'd be relying on the FastPass+ selections basically since we won't be at the parks until the afternoon...

Actually it'd be a perfect time to do AK, but I don't know about giving up extra MK time...and then I'd definitely want PH so we could have more than a day at MK...

We like to go for July 4th week and never PH. It just doesn't work with our touring style. Some days we spend the entire day in the park with no "resort break", and that does mean hiding out in a QS restaurant when it pours down rain.

As far as how long at MK... last trip we planned 3 days and it felt like a bit much on the 3rd day. There was a lot of "been there, done that". This trip we're doing 2 with the option to do an additional half day the morning we check out if we feel like it.

We don't need much time at any of the parks besides MK really...DS is 7 and has tried almost all the rides he can go on, but he's not a fan of any of the major headliner coasters or anything...
