quick food and wine festival question for everyone!

I am going w. my girlfriend to the festival on the 24th. My question is this - is there any booklets, handouts, or other info available that describes in some kind of detail all the different foods that are offered? The reason I ask is that telling me the name of some foreign food I can't even say doesn't really help me decide if I want to try that item or not, but a simple description of what 's in that item would. If this kind of info is available, where do I get it?

I've been to FWF twice and don't remember seeing such a thing. However, the people at the booths are generally very helpful and I don't recall anything too exotic or unfamiliar.

There are descriptions at every booth, you will be able to understand them, no problem. You will recognize all the food...nothing too out of the ordinary!

The festival booklet will list the foods and beverages that are supposed to be available at each booth. Sometimes these choices are changed.

The names of the foods are not always helpful, as you say. For example, reading that koeksister is available didn't tell me a thing! When I got to the booth, I asked and was given a great description.

Also, most of the booths have demonstration plates out, so you can actually see the selections.
