Quick Facebook question

I'm fairly new to Facebook and wondered- If you ignore (or deny or whatever the proper term) a friend request does the other person get notified that they were denied? Thanks!

I don't think they are notified, but if they go into their "all connections" section, they will no longer see your avatar there with "friend request pending." So, essentiallly, they will know that you deleted it.

they will know...if they look. It will no longer show a pending friend request by your name. But you'd have to look for that and 1/2 the time I forget who I friended or not. You might get a 2nd request from them if they see you again and are flaky like me and don't recall friending you in the 1st place.

However, they don't get an email or anything that says "susykt4 doesn't want to be your friend"

I've found blocking people I don't want to reconnect with to be helpful. I also just let people sit in my requests folder. I've had a high school boyfriend in there for months. I have no intention of ever accepting it.
