This trip was myslef, my Dh and our 2 year old DD. We were on the dining plan and had made all of our ADRs 6 months in advance.

Table Service:
50's Prime Time--- food just ok this time, nothiing special. Absolutley no interaction from the waitress at all. She got engrossed in a conversation at the next table and basically forgot about us. We took our desserts to go, and never got to eat them. I asked for a grilled cheese for DD, couldn't get one, got Mac n Cheese instead.

'Ohana-- first time we ever ate here. We really enjoyed it. DD loved the activities and singing. Great service, they offered a grilled cheese for DD. We ate a lot of the salad, potatoes and wings (we don't eat shrimp), and were pretty much stuffed by the time the meat came. We tried a little of everything. Some of the meats were a little dry, but still good. I loved the dessert!!! Would definately do this one again.

CRT Breakfast---very good, interaction with Princesses brief, bu DD was very shy with them. Food was excellent, service good as well. Paid OOP for this.

Big River Grille-- a last minute decision. It was about 5:30 and they had lots of open tables. I had a side salad, which was huge and chicken quesadillas, both very good. DH had some type of pasta, which he enjoyed, and DD shared with him. Paid OOP for this as well. Service fast and friendly.

Le Cellier---the best of the trip, a must do for us. We both had the 7 oz filet and cheese soup. I had the creme brulee and DH had the chocolate cake for dessert. I also had a side of sauteed mushrooms for dessert, which were amazing. DD had spaghetti, which she devoured. Service, food and atmosphere all excellent.

California Grill-- another great meal, DH had filet, I had pork tenderloin, DD had Mickey shaped mac n cheese. Service outstanding. DH had caramel cheesecake for dessert, I had banannas and butterscotch buzz...both excellent.

Mama Melrose--Fantasmic Package, food and service very good. Dh had Chicken Parm, I had penne alla vodka. DD insisted she wanted pizza, then ate my pasta instead. I was joking with the waitress about the fact that she didn't even touch the pizzz, and she came over later and whispered to me that she took it off the bill, which was extremely nice of her. She also brought out a dish of ice cream, and she didn't charge us for that either.
Would definately do this again, it was nice to have a reserved seat for Fantasmic, especially with a 2 year old!!

Hollywood and Vine Breakfast---- this was SO MUCH FUN!!! Food was great and the place was practically empty, we had the characters to ourselves most of the time. I don't thing DD ate one thing here, she was so excited by JoJo and Goliath. Really gald we did this!!

Counter Service:
Pecos Bill's (twice) -good
Casey's- great
Sunshine Seasons-excellent
Cantina de San Angel-fair
American Adventure- good

Snacks: various drinks, cookies and fruit.

I would be more than happy to answer any questions!!

Sounds like you had a great time. I'm really stuck on whether or not to do the DDP. We did it 18 months ago, and really enjoyed not having to pull out the wallet at every meal. We also ate places we probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. We have three boys, ages 9, 6 and 2, so our cost would be approx $100/day for all of us - I doubt we could match this even on a tight budget (and who wants to be on a tight budget on vacation??)

However, I do have concerns. The first is the children's menu. It really isn't all that appealing - I mean, how many chicken nuggets can one kid eat? And mine are nuts about their mac n cheese - has to be Kraft, and I doubt that's what Disney serves. Also heard the new "chilled chicken" choice is awful. Secondly, my nine year old is still at a child's rate, which is good, but I don't know if it'll be enough food for him. As I remember, the child's portions are pretty small. Secondly, I think all the table service meals eat up a lot of time. There's always a wait, even with advance "reservations", and just the nature of a sit down meal means more time. My kids have done all the character meals, and have enjoyed them, but they can see the characters out in the park too! Finally, I think I gained about 5 lbs last time with all the food on the plan - do we really need an appetizer and dessert with every meal??

What I'd really like is to buy the plan for 3 days (we're staying for 7) and then just do the rest on our own. Or in some way, I think the plan needs to be more flexible. Just my opinion...

ErinSLP - I just noticed that you stayed at CBR in 2006. How did you like it? We're staying there for our trip in April, and I keep hearing mixed reviews...FYI, we don't mind walking:)

we really liked CBR...we were fairly close to the food court, which helped. The food court was great, as well as the bus system. We were there the weekend of the marathon, so check in took some time, but other than that, we would definately stay there again.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.
