I'm doing some early legwork for family trip planning so are a few questions fine?

1. Can these drinks be found in the parks? Dr.Pepper(regular, diet and caffinee free),Mountain Dew and Pepsi
2. Is food in the parks ok for diabetics? As well as off sites places
3. Are there treats that are ok for diabetics?

I can only address question # 1
Only COKE products are served in WDW. No diet dew for me :(
From what I have heard most of the Dining options are able to accomodate most "special" food requests. Can anyone confirm?

I've visited WDW many times while under specific dietary restrictions and the full-service restaurant chefs have always been very accommodating. They need 24 hour notice for the more complicated requests, but for something as common as diabetes they generally never do.

Thanks for the info so far:) My sister is going to hate the no Dew thing

1. No, sorry. Disney only serves Coke products (which I can't stand), so I drink water I brought from home. I can't stand Dasani.

2. Most food is ok for diabetics as long as you stay away from things you know contain sugar and high carbs. But you should definitely ask to speak to a chef if you're not sure about something at sit down meals or ask for the nutrition info at counter service. Every counter service has a book that will tell you all of the ingredients in everything they serve including beverages and condiments.

3. I don't recall many treats for diabetics within the parks, but I'm sure if you contact the chef at any table service restaurants they can come up with something to accomodate you.

Also, check out the Disabilities Forum on this site. They have some great info. HTH

You might want to check out the menus on allearsnet.com. I remember several of them stated that items were available with NO SUGAR. I think the most important thing to do is mention any special dietary needs when you make your advanced reservations. Also mention it at check-in. Have a wonderful time planning and a great trip!
