My boyfriend wants me to come up with a list of questions to ask him (we are both making a list for each other) to REALLY get to know each other better. Does anyone have any 'deep' question ideas to ask to really get to know someone better........ side note: I could kill Dr. Phil for this LMAO! Apparently that is where he got the idea which means work for me lol! Thanks so much... my brain is blank!

Do the drinking glasses in his cabinet face up or face down?:goodvibes

I was watching an old game show recently and it was amazing how many spouses didn't know this.

On a serious note, and this may not be something you want to ask him yet, but definitely something you should ask at some point....Does he want kids? Or do you for that matter?

That is a great idea. I don't really have any questions for you to ask, however can i suggest that you don't ask anything that you REALLY don't want to know the answer to. That can open a can of worms.

Question 1: Why the heck do you think this a good idea?

Question 2: Why is a guy watching Dr. Phil

You might already know this, but does he squeeze the toothpaste in the
middle or at the bottom?

If you want deep questions ask him: Where does he see himself in 5 years?

Get the book IF...Questions for the Game of Life

Cool questions to get to know anyone better.

GF and I had a conversation yesterday about how when the govt interviews married couples to make sure their marriage is real and not just a way for a non-American citizen to get a green card, they should ask, "How many times a day does your spouse go #2?"

We have digestive problems around here so we talk about such stuff a lot :lmao:

HA HA HA HA! I wonder what he would say if I asked him how many times a day he goes number 2 LMAO!! I think I will add that just to see the look on his face!

I'll have to look for that book!

Great ideas everyone!

I think answering the questions many married couples fight about would be a good start. :)

Finances
How do you pool your money? (His is his, hers is hers and split the bills? Combine totally, everything is ours regardless of who makes more, etc.) Both parties must approve of major purchases? Maybe one of you wants to stay home? Or start your own business? Etc. What if one of you was spending money in a way the other didn't like?

Kids
How many do you want (if any)? Should one spouse stay home to raise them? What are your feelings about disciplining them (how would you do it?) Do you believe in spanking? How did your parents handle discipline? Etc.

Communication
What is your communication style? How do you argue? (Do you yell and scream, or do you stew in silence? Can you discuss problems calmly and compromise?) Is your style compatible with your partner's? Do you express your feelings to others in a way they can understand? Would you consider counseling if necessary? Do you prefer to be left alone when you're angry or tired or ill? Or do you want company/pampering?

Social Life
Do you like to go out a lot, or are you a homebody? Do you like quiet vacations lying on the beach, or running through tourist sites? Do you like to revisit old favorites or always try something new? Do you like experiencing new cultures, languages and foods, or prefer knowing you'll be able to express yourself appropriately and find foods to suit your picky palate?

Sex
How often? (I'm sure you can come up with some others.) :rotfl:

Do you want white lights or colored on the Christmas tree? Must they blink? (Should have been a deal-breaker for me) :rotfl:

Spank or no spank?

Spend or save?

Where do you see yourself in 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, etc.

What kind of influence do you see your family having in our lives? My family?

Denae

Don't forget the bathroom question, with your children or not?
;)
And the all important bathing one:lmao: :lmao:

As someone who has been through one of those INS interviews.... they don't actually ask you anything like that. It's more mundane stuff like the date of your wedding anniversary. Nothing like the movie Green Card!

Ask him to finish these sentences...

Going to WDW once a year for the rest of my life_______________________.

I am willing to spend ________ amount of money on our WDW vacation every year.

My Favorite Disney character is________________.

I am willing to name all future pets after a Disney Character. yes or no.

I am willing to buy all Disney Movies as they come out in DVD. yes or no.

My Dh would fail!

Seriously, I don't want to know anymore about my husband's bathroom habits than I already do. I know he goes and it stinks after. That's all I need to know!!

I actually do have that book of questions. My best friend and i asked them on a road trip one day. I really regretted it after. I really didn't need to know alot of that stuff.

If you do both plan to have kids, ask about how he feels regarding whether you (or he) would stay home with them and for how long.

Spank or no spank is a good one, as someone already mentioned.

Worst and best memory from grade school.

Religion can also be an important question, especially if there are children involved.

- Do you have the same beliefs?
- How will your children be raised, regarding religion?

Toilet paper, over or under?

These are great. I would definitlely ask if he is a saver or a spender and how much he thinks is okay to spend on "extras" for the month.
