We are thinking of staying at this hotel and have read some reviews and they sound pretty good :) . I was hoping to hear from someone who has stayed here recently who can tell me what type of snacks they offer (Tues-Thurs night)? Do the rooms have balconies? And lastly, any comments on the breakfast buffet would be great. Thanks.

We are thinking of staying here because we can get a 2br/2ba for 136.00/nt AAA rate. I read some really great reviews on tripadvisor. It sounds like it is near Crossroads S/C and Target and within walking distance to a Winn Dixie. It is also close to DTD. We are just looking for some place to stay for 3 days to swim before we do the Disney thing for a week. I know I'm not answering your question, but we narrowed Staybridge down from Windsor Hills, Cypress Pointe Grand Villas. We wanted someplace nice that wouldn't break us because we want to try restuarants like Margaritaville and Hardrock Cafe. Places we won't try while staying at Disney.

We stayed there in August of '05. It's a great place! I posted a detailed review back then (if you search for it you may find it). There are no balconies off of the actual room, but we stood out on the corridor balcony (does that make sense?) and we were able to see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. The food is unbelievable- they never stop trying to feed you for free! The breakfast is so extensive and satisfying, we would eat like crazy, and then make do with a light counter service meal at the park around dinner. We saved a lot of $$ that way.
The "sundowners reception" snacks were more like a meal. I remember we had hot dogs and mini hamburgers, chicken wings and salad, chips and salsa, plus free beer, wine and pop. It really is fantastic.
Plus the staff was wonderful. My DD turned 5 while we were down there, and they gave us a plate of delicious cookies with a card and a Cinderella sticker. We could figure out for the life of us how they knew it was her b-day (then dh remembered he very casually said something when checking in), but the best part was, our little girl thought Cinderella herself left her those cookies!

Emer95, I read your review. It was great. Really nice touch of the staff to place the cookies in your room for your daughter :) .I like the fact that the "sundowners reception" can be more than a snack. It will really help us with food costs. Thanks. :goodvibes
