Questions regarding ADR

My fiancé and I are planning to take our honeymoon to Disney in June of 2015. It's super important to me to go to BOG for dinner! So from my understanding we could make a reservation in December correct? Now I'm not purchasing our package until Feb so can I still make a reservation in December even though we haven't booked our vacation? Our dates are set, so I'm not worried about that.

Also we are both completely new to Disney dining. The one time I went we didn't do any table service, and the fiancé has never either. So any recommendations for table service would be appreciated I'll be 27, and he will be 31 at the time if that helps and we are both big foodies as well! Thanks in advance!

The simple answer is yes, you can book in December without having a room reservation yet.
However, the perk to already having a room or package booked before you select dining, is that you can book meals for the entire stay at one time. Meaning, if you can't get the meal you want at exactly 180 days out, you could try for the later days in your trip right then, instead of getting up early every day until you get what you're looking for. Does that make sense? But yes, you can book before having a room or package.

As Xlsm explained, it can be very helpful to get your room booked, so that you could make one phone call or go online once to get reservations for your whole trip at once instead of trying every morning for a week straight. This is referred to as booking on your 180+10 date (because you can only do it for up to 10 days, not a month long trip). BOG is currently so popular, if you try to get a reservation for your first day, you may find nothing available, but on your 2nd, 5th, 7th, etc you might have better luck.

Le Cellier in Canada at Epcot is extremely well reviewed as a quality place, Victoria and Alberts in the a Grand Floridian and Hollywood Brown Derby in DHS too. I've heard great things about both Jiko and Boma in Animal kingdom lodge and look forward to trying them on my upcoming trip.

I don't want to stress you out! Plenty of people can get those reservations - it's just one more little advantage if you can use it.
I also don't want to pressure you, (especially since I just told you it's not mandatory!) but you can book a package with just a $200 deposit, balance due 45 days before trip, unless you're using a site like Orbitz that requires payment in full up front.

Disney buses can be used to and from any destination, but they don't go directly between resorts - you'd have to go to a park or downtown disney and transfer buses. OurLaughingPlace web site has a "transportation wizard" link that tells you the best way to get between any two locations and how long the route will take you.

See I didn't know that I could book with $200 down! That would totally work for us I'll just book our flights separately, which I was considering anyways! I'm assuming this is on the Disney site (which is what I was planning on using!). Thanks so much for your help! I'm so unfamiliar with anything Disney related so I'm trying to research early so I feel comfortable!
